Few things will trump the endorphin rush and awe of the first time dropping into that river on the Stranger, and this music was just the golden brown marshmallow on top.
@MatthewTaylor863 жыл бұрын
You're primed to be scared by the warning at the start and the generally unknowable nature of what you're even looking at when you first enter the Stranger. Then you have the jarring contrast of the very alien looking light-locked door to being in a dark room that looks like something you'd find on Timber Hearth. When you drop in, realise that it's a raft, you're on a river and then you look up... and up... and up... THEN the music kicks in - what an absolutely incredible moment in gaming.
@fissionphoenix49953 жыл бұрын
I like how they knew 100% exactly how that experience could only really work the first time, and since you're only only going to approach the stranger from the anti-sun side once ever, they made the airlock from the other side less dramatic to facilitate moving forward with your explorations. Imagine if your first entry into the stranger was from the sun-facing side. I imagine someone has done so, but it would be extremely rare for someone to fly to the opposite side of the Stranger on their first approach from the Deep Space Satellite.

I think it did. It's possible the team behind it already thought about the lore of the DLC during the creation of the main game, but didn't exploit it because it would have been too much work, and kind of weird in a full game to have 2 games in it. It would be interesting to have the opinion of the team behind the game.

For this one in particular don't, and I can't stress this enough, DON'T look for any information, review (just look at the awards / notations), playthrough... It's essential that you discover this game all by yourself. And there is pretty much no way you'll regret it.

If theres one thing I HAD to like about this DLC, it was its opening. You're geared up to discover the stranger through the back end, since you need to stick close to the satellite to even see its location. Entering the back end airlock, you only have a dark wood cabin and a strange platform in front of you. Once activated, it drops down, this song plays, and youre seen the majesty of the ring world within.
