At first I thought it wouldn’t be as good being multiplayer but honestly this looks like one of the best co-op games to come out in a while. I’m excited for it

I was worried about it being multiplayer too but I felt much better after learning this isn't Outlast 3 and is just a standalone Outlast game made for multiplayer. I hate it when companies make single player games into multiplayer, it almost never works out. State of Decay 2 is a good example.

The reason for all the cuts was to put more effort into the multiplayer and try and turn it into a passive income thing for the 3rd party devs that worked on the game. They were also gonna work on RE4, but capcom pulled them off after seeing the dumpster fire they made.

@@spongekiller178 outlast trials is actually really fun imo totally worth it it’s just not as scary as the first 2 games which was a let down however it is a good game it’s just not traditional outlast it’s like how Zelda botw and Totk aren’t traditional Zelda games cause they both don’t have proper dungeons with the dungeon map compass dungeon items etc it’s a similar situation not traditional but still fun

It honestly needed to be made. There are a lot of co-op horrors out atm, but almost all of them are from very small indie devs that can't really update them well. Most of them are janky as well.

@@OrbitWithoutOil eh 12 hours in and almost earning my freedom ( two or one trials left) ive realised that hiding can be risky all to hell, even breaking line of sight the first thing enemies like doing is checking hiding spots and most of the time will find you the only good thing is when you have the hide and breathe amp, where its good to use them for quick stamina gain

@@YAYitzFREDZY for me hiding spots work every single time and are a lifesaver. i’ve already earned my freedom, and as long as they don’t see you get into the hiding spot they won’t find you. but that’s just from my experience so it may be different with everyone, but i’ve found hiding spots quite helpful throughout my playthroughs

Once knew a guy who legitimately,no joke thought he was there because he was there to fight the gay demons. Was a military PTSD facility, we dont do well with loud banging noises. Other dude came in coming down off the hard stuff. Stripped butt naked. The whole lore amd story in the Outlast Universe is great but I always hated how you never fight back. In Outlast 1 & Whistleblower it makes sense cuz the Patients are all failed Experiments. But in Outlast 2 it's just a bunch of crazed inbred cultists, and there is constantly Farm Tools that can be used as weapons laying on the ground.

I was skeptical as well, for the same reason as the comment above. This is RedBarrels’ first co-op game. Also, some parts of Outlast 2 weren’t so good; the scripted chases in the dream sequences at the school, specifically. But I’ve played the game for a good 15 hours already and I think this is actually their best game, they really nailed the entire premise of Outlast co-op with a SAW-like gameplay loop.
