WRT the heating/cooling challenge, have you considered installing a few big ass fans (yep that's the brand). They can move a ton of air and you reverse directions winter vs summer. I have 20' vaulted ceiling at home and use fans to manage this issue myself. Good luck with kitting your new space.

To better control the gradient temperature, you could close off the mezzanine with a glass partition and install a separate AC upthere. Of course you loose the open feeling, even with floor to ceiling glass.

Use a smart thermostat like Ecobee with multiple sensors. Maybe add ceiling fans for circulation. The smart thermostat will circulate the air more when there's in imbalance between zones.

I see that OOS is using the typical manufacture public release sequence. 1st video is preprodution model with a bunch of disclaimers for all the bits that are not done. Then we will get the final version video once everything is button down. That's ok, I will watch all of them. Actually, I'm having a bit of a problem watching all the content your are putting out, Ryan is on fire at the moment. Happy to have the podcast up an running again. It's great for keeping up, with OOS in the car.

Wow this is very cool I think you need another unit just for your cars maybe two, Craftsman VersaTrack Or something similar work very well you could separate the office area the balcony with glass then you could have heating zones you need a general contracting company that you could sign up with that way they would have the resources to send a electrician Carpenter Plumbing your way and when you do the charging stations you're going to need something like that. Trying to do all that stuff yourself is very time consuming especially with your schedule 👍👍👍

So .. Let me get this straight EVs are superior in every way however public charging is such a disaster that the best option is to build out your own private EV charging hub. I am not sure that is a cost effective scenario for the majority of the American Public. But I may be wrong.

Individuals don’t need DC charging at home. I installed a Level 2 AC charger in my garage. I charge there 99% of the time.

Years ago my wife and I along with friends went through Colorado on our Honda Gold Wing. We were pulling a pop up camper. At night the sky was crystal clear and it looked like you could touch a star. Another section of rock we looked and a train was coming out of the mountain. Colorado is such a beautiful state, it’s ashamed that woke politicians run it.
