I have bought an inexpensive Ryobi One blower that uses interchangeable batteries with my other of the same types. It does a good job on that snaky pine straw and leaves around the unit. It makes it look nicer around the unit. Works great when the units are on slabs and MGMT is not using that straw for landscaping.

The unit has to be running. The compressor sucks it in so it has to run. If it's just to get the pressure switch engaged, then I go through suction side until it gets to around 50 psi. Then unit clicks on. Thank you so much for watching!

You test the two wires on the pressure switch with your meter on beeping continuity. If it beeps it's good, if it doesn't beep the pressure switch is bad. You can bypass by cutting the wire and wire nutting together. Thank you so much for watching!

At my property the mowers are complete idiots. I have 1 unit knocked right into the disconnect and another one you can barely get your gages on because they whacked it. They also don't aim their mower discharge shoots away from the condensers. I mentioned this 3 years ago when I first started until I got tired of repeating myself.

Quick question: I took out the 220 volt outside breaker to clean the compressor coils with an easy stream of water no splashing no heavy straight line stream of water. But when I put back the 220 breaker the compressor wouldn't come back on despite the inside blower working fine also the compressor was working fine with no issues what happened?

I have a question since I’m not to familiar with heat pumps and furnaces. My inside unit (furnace?) is blowing air but the outside unit is not blowing any air. Btw the thermostat is set at 70 heat and the temp is met. Is this normal or not I’ve never notice it before.
@LexVance
@LexVance 3 жыл бұрын
If you've got the tstat set to Emer. Heat, the outside unit will not turn on and blow air because your using the inside heat strips. If the tstat is set to just Heat, then the outside unit should come on and blow air. Thank you for watching DTD!

It's depends if it's a heat pump or a straight cool system. Heat pumps need the inside and outside unit to run for heat. Straight cool units usually use gas, oil, or hydronic systems for heat. No outside unit needed. Thank you so much for watching Nightmare!

Is there a way you can force the compressor to run without topping up refrigerant
@LexVance

No, that'll damage the compressor. The refrigerant keeps the compressor cool. It'll overheat and break if there's not enough refrigerant.

You were stating that you could walk away from a system as you know it's leaking and that is technically against the law. If the charge was gone knowing there's a lake you could have pressurized it and left that in the system then pull it back it and recharge it with leak detector fluorescent die and fresh freon for small leagues

You're right. I have 200 leaking ac units on the property I work at. I have to slowly get to them all. So, I gas them up to keep the resident cool until I can come back and repair the leak. They should make a law about not manufacturing this cheaply made equipment that leaks a year later. It's not my fault it's leaking. It's their fault. I'm just there to fix their cheap products.
