In a sign of the growing cost of living pain, it’s been revealed a record number of Australian households have been forced to take up energy hardship plans.
According to the latest data from the Australian Energy Regulator, over 130,000 households were on energy hardship plans as of June this year to ensure that the lights stay on.
Compared to just under 96,000 from 12 months earlier.
The recent report from Australian Energy Regulator comes just three years to the day Labor promised your power bills would be $275 cheaper by 2025.

Governments are ALWAYS the problem. Never a solution to anything. Never have been. If govt involved avoid it. If govt says go this way go the other way

But ABC, Labor and Greens have consistently told us that renewable energy is cheap and reliable.

That’s like 1.5 percent of the population. Also how is it labor’s fault when you have an opposition who says no to everything also they have been in power for like 12 years and did nothing. I guess that’s what you want a government that does nothing proposes nothing acts on nothing.

I don't know what the point of this reporting is read widely regarding what is happening economically militarily and depletion of resources as well as which countries hold those resources. High energy prices are just a thing of the future and have been in the past, yes we had a very small window where energy was cheapish but we can't go back to that unless we control most of the worlds resources. We do not and with the rise if BRICS this can only get worse. So the point of this report is what to rage against reality, surely these reporters know the wider issues. Nuclear is a resource that will be very sought after in the decades to come predominantly by BRICS countries so you would expect the prices to skyrocket on this aswell, the Australian government cannot control these prices for the domestic market.!?

The fact they we have to rely on government to live is a joke. I want a piece of land with a little hut, fence so I don't have to deal with anyone and a generator. Why do I need 20 bills a month
