IT WAS A WONDERFUL TIME IN 1945. MOST PEOPLE WERE THANKING GOD FOR OUR WIN. TIMES SURE HAVE CHANGED A LOT. THAT MAKES ME VERY SAD.

This 1945 film is so wonderful. A lovely look at America at its best as WW2 was being won and we were all more equal. I just learned that Jimmy Carter and Rosalyn lived on $300 a month when he joined the army and he built the furniture in a similar bungalow himself, using the army base wood shop, all while studying to become a lieutenant on a nuclear sub.

Great Movie!! God & Country! - Fun Romp of a Movie!! This is the first time I watched this movie - Bravo!! Love it! I have heard of Irene Dunne & Alexander Knox. I have now consciously thought about them and will add them to my list of Favorite Actors - I remember well Charles Coburn who has been a great supporting actor in many good films! Thank you!
