900+ games and $60k? Impressive. Not necessarily about building a massive collection of killer titles for me. I'm trying to keep my collection slimmed down to a number of titles that I can realistically play and enjoy in one lifetime. Bought and kept my absolute favorites, and learned to let go of the rest.

To be fair, most people aren't selling their whole collection. If I ever got into dire straits, I would sell a few of my most valuable games for quick cash and see most of what they are worth. I wouldn't need to sell very many to get a quick $10K with some of what I have, meaning that I would retain about 95% of my collection. It depends on the circumstances.

I'm currently been trying to organize and cut down my video game and anime collections. Should be able to cut a good chuck of stuff like extra consoles and accessories I dont need, along with games. When the switch 2 comes out, I might be short on room 😂😭. I'm shocked at how many items of mine are over $100 as I'm going through everything.

Not sure what to tell you about that. It should fit. A ps2 controller is made for the ps2 console. I don't understand why it wouldn't fit.

Im going for the Gamecube set right now. I'm at 256/554 and already got the best 200 games the rest are shitty games including disney & cubibored 😂 but slow passive collecting is fun for me and gives me time to actually play my collection.

Alot of people even myself, we start playing and trying stuff on emulation, or obtaining ALOT of games on emulation and the need to buy the game with money and set it on a shelf disappears. Some people collect for clout and rank, not for self joy and passion.

For someone who is collecting for a decade, 60k isn't unbelievable, especially with 1k games. Use price charting and start adding up your collection, you might be surprised by the value

It's not unrealistic at all. That number probably also includes all the systems and hardware as well. That's also retail value, not the true amount he could get, so take like 20-30% off of that.

You are motivating me to start my own channel and pass my advice to new and old retro collectors. Deals can still be found even today, you just have to put the work and change up your game hunting...
