If anyone is confused. In the original Japanese version, they said 8000 but in the English dubbed version, it was changed to 9000 because it fit the lipsync better. I used the English dubbed version because English is the lingua franca of planet Earth and when the Polish dubbed version came out, Polish people were confused they said 8000 not 9000 because the English dubbed version is more iconic in Poland than the original Japanese version.

Here in Portugal, SIC though that DBZ was too violent for kids, so they gave the characters ridiculous voices and changed the lines to be more comical. They are even moments where they reference Portugal culture (for example, there is an episode where Goku says "He's Miss Portugal 97!"). Which just makes me wonder, how would our dub be if they were actually trying?
