So…just finished a long term research and review in the two boats mentioned in this video. In fact I ended up with 4 boats, Vexus, Express, Gator and Avid. All 20’ boats with 200HP motors. And I’m talking extensive research. I can go into all the engineering pros and cons of each, but I won’t put you through that. Cost from top to bottom, most expensive to cheapest. Gator by far, Vexus not far behind Gator, Avid then Express. My focus was more about hull durability and effective design. Dry, stable and of course speed. For the money and performance I ended up with the Avid. 55k out the door, all the options he mentioned with the bow and console Hummingbird Helix 10. So two fish finders, two axel trailer mag wheels mag spare. Deck lighting, box lighting, live well yada yada yada, 200 Yamaha SHO, Black Diamond trailer with disc breaks. Carpet deck with that other shit he mentioned in the cockpit. Very nice boat, I’m extremely happy…oh and it came with dual Raptor hydraulic power poll system…that’s $4500.00 by itself, Minn Kotta 80 with spot lock and all that. I GPS speed tested to 70mph last week, and it has one of the thicker aircraft aluminum hulls of the boats mentioned. This boat has no wood in it…none. For me Avid was the winner, Bucks Island Marine Southside Alabama. Tell them Mike P from Magnolia Tx sent you.

@timothygregg2223 to be honest I think team marine gives decent reviews none are dishonest I believe most of takes on what's good and bad but I can tell he gets butt hurt when dealers or owners don't pick up his calls

Im totally not surprised he didnt not call you back im pretty sure his dad had sprint boats that went bankrupt in Amory Ms back in the day if you cant get them to call you back to purchase a boat then what happens when you need service or a warranty claim guarantee you they wont call you then and your stuck with it all on your own ive done some serious research and ive come to the conclusion its either a Gator Trax or xpress x19 for me no other boat will do lowe lund crestliner and one other i cant remember the name is all owned by one company so all those are off my list

I have a avid 20xb and I have all garmin and one 10 in dash and 10 up front. And power poles and jack plate. With a 200 sho. It come with a hot foot on it and I pay 59,000

I saw this brand in person in N Florida at two dealers. Quick review here. No raised lip on hatches but dealer was willing to fill up storage bow box with water and see how the water gets back to the bilge under the foam. New models have reinforced keel. Not a pad hull (bay 18, 20) but did not care. Screws holding leaning post where crooked from the factory. (This concerned me). The dealer promptly got back to me from the factory about where is the 45 degrees entry claimed at the bow is. Boat is competitively priced. I have seen seaark, xpress and avid. Xpress wins for innovation (see 2024 center console) and large bow storage. Seaark wins with 15 degree deadrise bow entry (model 1860 VFX.) Avid 18/20 bay looks good but fit and finish is just average. If I could give a win to Avid bay it would be the access to bilge area, plush leaning post cushion (newest models), adequate keel reinforcement (newest models), transom drain design, newer model improvements and pricing. Website information is better and mostly accurate. Otherwise just decent price new but difficult to find a used one.

Man u can get a 20xb loaded with 12,s a 23 model right now for 60 grand with power poles 10ft and lithium batteries don't be knocking man they are dam good boats I sold my 22 z18 to buy me a xb19

That is high. However Avid does build one of the nicer aluminum boats around. Like how they have the gas tank moved up to the center part of the boat for better hull balance.

Do me a favor and do an over and under on the Pro-Gator fiberglass boat that comes with a double hull. Apparently, Progator gives a 10 year warranty against any type of stump damage with their hulls. They are located in Louisiana. Thanks.

@@TeamMarineService had the exact same problem with avid. tried to get a catalog and price list with all available options and they just simply stop responding. then send them a msg on fb and they tell me "due to material cost increases and fluctuating markets we dont have a price list go talk to a dealer - then i said i tried that and the dealer stops responding when i ask for the same thing. Its like avid is intentionally trying not to sell boats.

New video idea (if I hadn’t missed it) but it would be cool to take all the over/under videos and pick your top 5 based on everything taken away from the builds. Gator Trax uses the thickest aluminum. I chose a new 21' Strike Series after visiting the other brands.

All the research I’ve done in the last 5 years shows Gator has the thickest hull of all Aluminum boats 9/16 I believe

My fishing partner and i have a 19xb sitting at sonny's right now that we ordered. We're gonna try to have Kyle from Sonny's reach out to you. So the boat came with some issues. Some of the hatch lids werent mounted flush. The livewell lids were scraping together and scratching the pain when you opened em. Avid forgot to install brakes on the trailer, and there was some minor damage to the rub rail. Evidently there have been some issues with fuel systems in their center consoles as well. Its a GREAT looking hull, i know they perform VERY well, but they seem to have some fit and finish issues. After the guys at Sonny's contacted Avid about the issues with our boat and some of the others on their lot, they sent s rep out to see what was going on. Theyve agreed to send a new trailer, recut the hatch lids and reinstall them on our boat as well as fix the damage to the rub rail. I'm assuming they will also be correcting the imperfections on the other boats as well. Avid is a new company (about 2 years old) and I'm really hoping that ALL of the this is a result of trying to work the kinks out of new operation right about the time covid hit which obviously complicated things for a lot of industries. Hopefully they will straighten themselves out and get it running right. The boat hasnt been rigged yet and we havent accepted delivery, so i may have a review up on my channel soon you can take a llok at...or i may not. We shall see what happens.

I know this channel does not like tin boats but some of us just cannot afford glass. This is still overpriced. If money was no object sure would like a Blazer or Bass Cat but NOT possible. Customer Service I agree is a very big deal. Someone should have reached out to you.

Becuase I know vexus will get back to me lol. Came out of a 2006 Ranger z20. Im a damn fool for doing that lol. But honestly I do like that Vexus avx2080. Peace

I’m a technician and rigged one, I could give you a list of things that were flaws in this boat and even send you pictures, the boat didn’t get very much speed either, maybe 65 on a good day, and I drive these things everyday, so I wasn’t impressed I’ve gone faster in the xpress 18 with a 175 sho then this boat with a 200hp
