Ideas for a rival town to Whisky: Brandy of course or you could do a super American style town called Bourbon. It seems all the medium density/rowhouse assets have utterly blank eyesore endcaps, I guess if it were me I'd zone something else to bookend those so I wasn't constantly cringing at the plain jane polygon look of them

Hey there Egg! Pro tip here, if you turn of snap to road guidelines it's WAY easier to make the zoning grid uniform, it doesn't make any sense but it works haha

I think that's a bug...I have 98% efficiency on my health centre and maybe 1 or 2 ambulances in use at any one time and still get cim complaints about healthcare 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I swear every CS2 video I watch (on any channel) is 50% attempting to do a retaining wall/quay wall. It’s a little bit of landscaping, draw a road, delete the road, little bit more landscaping, try drawing the road again, delete the road again, etc…. Seriously needs to be updated and made simpler.

I just dont like CS2. Sorry, but it looks bland, just boring. I feel in terms of appeal and colours it went backwards. I cannot put a finger on it as why I don't like it, I just don't find it as appealing as CS1. I wont be buying it.

please connect the pedestrian bridge into the quay road next to city hall! when you placed it, you didn't actually draw it coming off from the road, just next to it which caused it to be half connected. people are walking through the railing on the road to get on and off the pedestrian bridge which can't be particularly comfortable!

There is a town in Tennessee that does distill "Jack Daniels" whiskey. It's called Lynchburg. You can use google maps and get the layout of the town. It's absolutely a GORGEOUS little town, that reminds me of something back 100 plus years ago. It has a lot of farming and rolling hills too and it's just stunning to drive through that town.

OVERCHARGED EGG....PLEASE READ THIS !!!!! I have been messing around with the "supply chain" within my city, because I too began getting those NOT ENOUGH CUSTOMERS bubbles over my commercial buildings, and I HAVE NOW FINALLY FIGURED THIS OUT, and it WORKS!! First of all, you must understand the supply chain, just as in REAL LIFE. So, lets say it's time for you to do some "specialized industry", such as Farms, Forestry, Vegetable, etc....and you see that you have several of those NOT ENOUGH CUSTOMERS bubbles popping up. Click on those buildings to see what is it that they are TRYING TO SELL TO THE PUBLIC. If it's a bar, then they are needing booze, and in order to sell that, you MUST HAVE industrial buildings that can turn GRAIN into that, which means YOU NEED GRAIN FARMS...but you don't have to build A LOT of that, but just enough to get that "chain" going. So now, your farm gets the grain, sends the grain to the factory to be processed over to booze, then the booze is shipped to the COMMERCIAL STORE/BAR, which in turn now has enough to sell to their customers, and WALA...THE BUBBLE GOES AWAY.

That makes sense. So a way to fix it is to bulldoze the building and see what gets built. If the new building does not meet your city inventory then bulldoze again. and again etc.

@@charleswilliams8434 Pretty much, yes. Or you can just leave that one, but zone a bit more, and see if they build stores that will supply them with what they need. Also, if your traffic is hindering their deliveries to them from the factories, they will have a hard time keeping supplies in stock too.

I've seen other builders reduce the lot size to address high rent issues. The smaller the land parcel, the lower the rent and cost for upkeep.

superb build. This series shows of your terrific understanding of cities and harmony between zoning and usage of open space. Love the fact that Egginburgh holds so much chicken/lifestock farmland. If another town evolves at the other side of downtowns river I'd love to see some rivalry between those towns. Who has the highest tower, nicest waterfront, best style (maybe North American vs European district styles?)? This could also lead to a great template for the naming like the two towns of Whisky and Scotch

Love the greenbelt in the middle of the town! My favorite will always be the large main street thru it all😍 It's already a lovely city and getting more and more so each episode!! I like the idea of the tram straight down the middle with buses to the left like you suggested.

Usually, a BRT would mostly be used as a cheaper substitute so as to not build up a Tram system, that would be more expensive (although more efficient, and a better, more appropriate servce at taht stage). You could also see BRT as a precursor to an upcoming Tram system. Hence, the Tram would replace the BRT 1:1. Some experts actually doubt, whether "Bus Rapid Transit" could actually be considered "a thing", as "rapid transit" is a term stemming from the Railways, which can actually be rapid, opposed to Buses. But that is only speaking about the real world. However, here we are dealing with a video game. So not real world. Unless we wanted to use it as a simulation game...

It means that the situation is bad, but that this is a normal state of affairs - So perfectly appropriate for an insurance parasi- I mean company. And maybe for CS:II in general. 😜😜

If you put in a short stretch of "normal" road for the BRT stops then you can add actual shelters. As long as they aren't connected to the rest of the road system directly then you won't get anything else on them. Are you intending to run shipping along the Egginburgh Ship Canal at all BTW?

You can place geothermal plant where underground water is available in industrial area to make use of it. It also produces nice amount of electricity which can be imported for profits, it also employs nice amount of people

I wish they add more small raods. We didn't variety on that in CS1 and iwant to see that. In europe it is not rare to see a street with a width of 2.5 cars beeing used as a one lane one way road with the other lane basically beeing parking and the next street parallel to that goes the opposite way and the next same direction as the first one and so on. I want to be able to do such layouts
