your mom is irrelevant heheheh James Cadzow, sure up to some certain point but its natural to care what other think as this is biological. my opinion is that you just accept what other people think and move on (e.g: self_acceptance of oneself) lets say, a person says you are a killer through an assumption but with no evidence to back it up. and someone finds evidence that you are indeed a killer? wouldnt that make you a killer? wouldnt they excluded you from society. if someone had evidence for me being a killer, i would just self accept what i done and move on. what is done is done. (btw i havent killed anyone, its just an example)

As a caucasian of European descent, I find Sadhguru's insights are very moving. Although great western philoshophers have converged on many of the same core insights, they feel less spiritually conveyed than from Asian cultures. While we are one people on this planet, I feel as if no wisdom has been as deeply distilled and continuously refined since antiquity than from India, so my instinct tells me to pay the highest attention to this great gentleman's thoughts.

After I see that I have no power to change how someone else sees me, and after I know that I am trying my best to be positive and good and they still judge me badly, I know that me worrying about what they think is a wasted worry. I might as well be happy with me, because if they see me smiling despite their negative thoughts of me, they have learned that I am not affected by their view of me. The only place that they can then go is to either not think of me at all, or, to be envious of my happiness.

I’ve had a low self esteem for such a long time and I constantly fear what people think of me. I’ve listened to all the bad things people have said to me over the years and this pattern of worrying was created. The hard part is learning to trust yourself and knowing that how you feel about yourself is enough. But how do you truly love yourself and not let those opinions of others control you?
@GireeshVenkateswaran3 жыл бұрын
It's very specific to each individual. All journey starts with a first step. The first step is to realise and acknowledge that letting other people's opinions affect you (+ve and -ve way) is not good for oneself. From there, it gets deeper. I find that over time you can get better at looking at what other people say, what facts and evidence that is there in reality to support their view/opinion and accept their comments as feedback to change one's behaviour or educate the other as to why their opinion does not stack up to reality and most importantly ignore the person's opinion if they are not able to see reality. All of this when done with an attitude of humbleness and kindness to oneself and the other person, it works wonders for one's self-esteem. It takes lots of practice to develop this mindset. One needs to be very kind to oneself and readily forgive oneself.

WOW!!! “The consequence of other’s opinions..” the DEPTH IN THAT IS REAL!!! Sadhguru- THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the world! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT. Even though you are stone- I’m sending you loving energy!!! Amen!!! People depend on substances because they don’t know how to escape their internal fears. {that will more than likely never happen} They believe emotions are a bad thing, but in fact they ARE a gift from God to help us navigate through our lifetimes. They tell us if we are in, or out of alignment with our higher self. We know we are in alignment when we feel loving emotions; happy, calm or peaceful. Out of alignment is any fear based emotions. Feeling fear? MEDITATION is best on a daily basis. When you get random scary thoughts, REFOCUS and become that mental master you were all born to be! I believe in you!!! The BODY is a machine, the way we care for it, the way it will work. I got hit by an 80,000 lb tractor trailer and have tons of internal, physical damage including a ceramic hip at 37. This weighed on me mentally. I got into meditation and reiki. I could be addicted to a ton of narcotics, but I chose to give that up and take the natural, holistic path. My faith led the way. If I can overcome what I have been through since I got into that accident, ANYONE READING THIS CAN OVERCOME ANYTHING. I BELIEVE GOD AND YOUR SOUL would NEVER sign up for more than you can handle!!! Sending loving energy everyone’s! Namaste y’all! 🤗💜🙏🏻♾

Like when someone feels alone he/she feels unimportant and hesitate to say even the right thing bcz of the fear of judgement..even sometimes when i am right and people laugh at me i start thinking from their prospective..

"To be healthful, you need chemicals, to be joyful you need chemicals, to be peaceful you need chemicals, to be ecstatic of course there is ecstasy." "If 90% of the population is on chemicals believe me, the next generation we produce will be a generation which is much less than us, If we produce the next generation less than ourselves, we have committed a crime against humanity" ~ Sadhguru

I wonder what exactly he meant by "less". I assume he is not worried that there would be less human (in numbers) but that each individual would be "less" (like they'd be void to a large extent)

For years I was praised often that when I stop being praised - I went crashing like an airplane which engines failed to keep its float in the sky.. and I now realize that - its never the fault of what others says about us and never the fault of how they make judgement about me. But rather yet our dependence on always hearing the things that we feel fed by as resource of motivation to go out and be something whereas if we trained our thinking to be self willed than to acknowledge praises. I would haven not been seeking it everywhere else and end up being disappointed when it turned to criticism. self views on this

Yes that is so scary the next generation being less than us- I want to help people so bad and teach them morals and ethics and the important of responsibility - I want to educate everyone on the truth how this world is spiritual and you must know you are a child of god & your purpose is to fulfill gods will- which is being the best version of yourself through right action and thinking
