I managed to go from a first semester grade of 6.95 to second semester grade of 9.06, and I basically followed all the advice given by jc sir and am glad he’s made a video about this. These are truly golden words aspirants. ❤

Some profs even want to reach out to us conducting several extra doubt-solving sessions which is an extra input from their side, but due to the shortage of time this semester we have hardly had any time to grasp on the concepts and the entire class is in an extremely confused state, to ask a good doubt at least we have to understand the concept fully. -1st yr IITKGP student

I was somehow (thankfully) able to salvage a bad semester at college. Thank you Sir for these pieces of advice. They will surely help me in either controlling the damage done by any more bad semesters, or in avoiding them altogether. :D

very truthful, genuine and realistic advice. applicable for both, national institutes as well as private universities. At the end of the day, what I take away is, never to lose hope, just try to salvage and solve as you go.

As usual, packed with very useful and solid advice along with an explanation of an engineering programme landscape. As the good professor closed the video, he made a remark about other points and I can think of a broad one. This is to do with attitudes, in my time at least, the attitudes of many (I will even say most) students were quite poor. Some professors tried to guide, but as far as I could make out the effect was limited. These poor attitudes germinate due to the larger society and the company of other students! So as in school, try to see that you, dear student, avoid debilitating company.

Thank you for the kind words. And, you have raised a good point. Ultimately a lot of the effectiveness of the teaching boils down to the attitude and mentality of the students themselves.

Very nice guidance video Professor. I don’t think, any Professor would motivate students this way, as I have always come across mostly demotivating and cursing teachers at school and college. Your students are really lucky.

No offense, but here are my two cents as a college student: (i) We know that every college has its fair share of good and bad. To have a college in mind as a motivator, an aspirant should focus almost completely on the various exciting opportunities their dream college has to offer. Focusing on the bad will almost certainly be a detractor for an aspirant, and obviously does them no good. (ii) The mental/academic stress varies from student to student, depending on their studying ability, discipline and time management skills. So blanket statements like "overall it'll be very hectic" or "overall it'll be very easygoing and smooth" can cloud an aspirant's belief about the college experience that their future will present them with. Thus, as a past aspirant, focusing on my entrance exam preparation was optimal, and the opportunities of my (then) dream college only added to my desire to get into the college. I did not focus on my future stress that may or may not materialise. Now I'm grateful for studying at my current college. Hence I suggest that aspirants do similar.

Professor your videos are an authentic, reliable source for both engineering students and JEE aspirants as they focus on the true academic growth of students in contrast with most of the so-called 'educational channels' across YT which focus only and only on increasing the number of their subscribers and not on the quality of their content, which are most of the time created by unprofessional creators who claim themselves to be experts. Professor it's a humble request if you could clarify on Biochemical engineering, the best colleges to do a B.E on it and the scopes that biochemical engineering provides, also there are very less number of students who opt for this stream of engineering. Is biochemical engineering worth it judging by job opportunities it can offer?

Great work done by you! If possible discuss the problems with current curriculum of engineering specifically mechanical engineering all over the world, and how can they be improved with more focus on actually become mechanical engineer who can build stuff and doesn't actually need to do masters in a narrow field to design industrial equipment, or do anything mechanical engineer is expected to deliver

Sir it is a humble request can you advice me on what to do now as i have wasted my 1.5 years on doing nothing as i was in slumber it was because when i joined my coaching i wasn't sure of myself what to do i just Heard of iits and went for my jee prep it was also due peer pressure but i loved maths and decided that i will be an engineer so went for coaching institute but at coaching I realised that i can't study the i have always been so i did try to changes my techniques but instead i lost interest from studies which was the only thing i was good at and i thought it was interesting. And i fell for my gaming addiction qnd other sort of thing now when i have woken up from that long sleep i cant see what is ahead of me it is as if i am unable to decide my path please guide me i know that i might not be able to clear jee 2025 but still i will try my best but i am still afraid of study thinking what is ahead is it worth. Sir i don't even want a prestigious college I just want my love back it is as if I have cheated on my only gf and now that I have realised my mistakes she won't come back to me.( Gf is science). Sorry if my grammar was bit off Sir i seek your guidance

Good evening sir, I would like to express my gratitude for you efforts in making such reassuring videos for students in teenage. I would like to ask for an advice, I don't have any issues in studying(currently in class X) but my mentality and conscience is pretty fussy these days, it feels very unreal to even be alive, i feel like deattached from life, i am not able to find motivation of why to continue living , in the sense that what purpose is awaiting me, i kind of feel like my mind since it has entered teenage is a but full of doubts and confusion, dilemma is so much common that i can't even express. I just want to ask you what do i do, how do i make a coherent mentality, who to listen to, who to trust, and most importantly will this fussiness extinguish at age of maturity?

I relate to the fact that you mentioned 'detached from life' or 'not having a will to live'. As a student of science I would like to say that, if you think enough about life itself, the only purpose of any life, not only human life, is one and only to exist as a life. Now, often times we as humans, think of the purpose is something more than mere existing. But all of the things we do is only for the sake of maintaining this existence called life and exist in a better way, whether it's studies or anything else. So I'll suggest you to fundamentally understand the very purpose of life itself and then gather informations about what you want to do in life from different sources and possibly discuss with your teachers, parents, elders and finally and most importantly think yourself and find the best possible path out and take action. Whatever you do will contribute to the universe, if you think really broad. I'll also suggest you to listen a video on " Existential crisis" by Dr. Sid Warrior. He is a neurologist and youtuber.

I have query regarding the registration for *jee 2025* During my *2024* attempt, I *categorized* myself as a *General* candidate, and my Class *10 and Class 12 mark* sheets also reflect this *categorization(general)* But this year I may *get* *OBC certificate* so ,can I apply as a *obc candidate in* *jee 2025* ?
