QUESTION: How have you self-sabotaged in the past.

AdamRoa I have self sabotaged by not choosing love, by not being all in, so I didn’t have to feel.

I've always choose fear, grew up believing I was worth nothing. I know this not to be true, took me 40 years but I'm here choosing love

It's very often the reason we self-sabotage, to avoid feeling something uncomfortable.

This is the type of reality show we need in the world now....we need more off these. Not seeing people hurt each other but create a healthy way of being as for human dynamics.

Wow. Your poetry is so powerful. I am in an era of change and self discovery; in a hard time in my 10-year relationship and seeking truth for the next decade of my life. Thank you for your honesty. I feel grateful to know I’m not navigating this experience alone. Keep beaming your truth into the world. The ripples are happening...

Deeper into the rabbit hole we go...this to me was the most vulnerable video so far, i literally found myself having a difficult time watching the entire video as it was so raw and real, but I pushed through it because i have been self-sabotaging since my son was born 9 years ago. I have not opened myself up to this raw and vulnerable self because it scares me, because of the pain I've dealt with in the past due to harmful relationships, thank you for this..thank you for starting this journey. You are helping so many of us, you are helping me open my creative cocoon and I'm seeing it slowly happening day by day... please keep sharing, keep creating, keep loving, Bless.

It can be scary to open up to deeper parts of ourselves, I totally get it. And it's also the most rewarding journey I can imagine. I feel like it's why I'm here.

In the past I self-sabotaged by making excuses to stay with my finance even when I knew it was nowhere near my highest excitement. It only took me 6 years to leave the relationship. lol. Once I got REALLY HONEST with myself, I left. Best and hardest decision ever, but, it was just the beginning of a WHOLE new me.

Thank you for sharing with us Adam. I watch this and think to myself "my what a wonderful life it would be if we could all be this authentic with each other". Maybe it might not be in our life time but as you said the ripple effect might just see the change we dream of. And yes big time self sabotager right here particularly in my teens and 20s. I am aware of my mind. I am a witness to its effects on me. But I still a work in progress x

Speak for yourself. Sabotage can be a good thing and a realistic good choice. I've done it to kill off a mutual love. Never be ashamed to have no regrets for doing that. ;)

I appreciate Ruby’s sensitivities towards your ex. On a side note: Ruby resembles Maureen McCormick from The Brady Bunch with a little Carmen Electra depending on her expressions.
@jennifer68336 жыл бұрын
I have a question for you, Adam. Have you considered fully not putting yourself into any relationship whatsoever during this time after ending that longterm relationship? It’s important too take time too get to know yourself again in the creation of self respect and love, realizing when you’re fully ready to commit again. Ruby, Appears to have been a rebound. Be careful when choosing too share parts of yourself when you may not be ready.
@AdamRoaOfficial6 жыл бұрын
I definitely considered not putting myself out there... the question is, for what length of time? When do you feel it's appropriate to connect with someone else in this way again?
@jennifer68336 жыл бұрын
AdamRoa , I hear you on the length of time. I’d say when you no longer feel like crying about it. Break ups are hard, no matter makes the choice to end things.
@AdamRoaOfficial6 жыл бұрын
@@jennifer6833 That's an interesting viewpoint... I don't know if I agree, however, since in my own life I've seen different layers of sadness that can come up from things that happened when I was really young and thought I was completely moved past. So, waiting until it's no longer present for you emotionally is a fluid and tricky thing.
@jennifer68336 жыл бұрын
AdamRoa , I get that perspective as well. We all experience things in life differently so the takeaway can be one way for one person and another it’d never work for them. Wishing happiness...

two months is too early based on how long your relationship ship was. take time.... bringing other people (women) into your process while fascinating is not the best. you are clearly not ready in my humble opinion. the flow will be incredible when your process is done. This women is your mirror and she is clearly not easy either.

Ruby is not a mere character in the play of 'you' . I hope one day you understand love as not just a disembodied concept/word or a series of actions that when looked at closely are incongruent with what love actually looks like and is.
