I'm very excited to introduce the new TrailRecon Edition Jeep Gladiator build! I've partnered with my friends at Redlands Jeep to custom build some off-road vehicles using the parts and gear I've used on my adventures. This is the first Gladiator and in this video I'm going to take you on a walk around of all the things we've added to make this the perfect adventure rig for it's soon to be new owner.

All models of Jeep Gladiators come standard with Dana44's. Also, the axle tubes are 10mm thicker than on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Dana44's. The Gladiator is a good base to start on. Jeep needs to put standard 44's on Wranglers.

I agree with you that the Gladiator is a pleasurable vehicle to drive with all the modern day comforts of a high end vehicle. I just want to say I have watched a number of gladiator reviews that say the stearing is sloppy like 'all' jeeps. Well my Overland Gladiator has super tight stearing wheel with no adjustments required during highway driving. Love my Gladiator :)

PHENOMENAL package!!! You can really tell that a lot of thought went into all of the goodies!!! Great job 👍🏻 - Are there bed rails extensions in addition to the rock rails? - You should TOTALLY have a few “TrailRecon Limited Edition” stickers with your logo on the outside of the Jeep. Maybe on the tailgate & behind the front wheels. Help spread the word to everyone who sees these on the trails or roads.

Very Nice Setup! I have not had the Pleasure to Test Drive a Gladiator Yet but I have been talking to my wife about getting a Truck specially with our new business needing the ability to carry bulky Pelican Cases the Gladiator's Bed would be Great to carry everything plus we could put a Vinyl wrap with our Business Name on it.

I would say add a super sport package that has a little more lift and a choice of 38’s or 40’s. Other than that it’s pretty much my dream Jeep. Awesome set up.

Thanks for the video. Can you touch on the differential gearing? 35’s aren’t crazy big and that 8 speed has a deep first but still probably worth some discussion

ALL Gladiators come with D44 front and rear axles. But, if you had selected the Max Towing package, you would have gotten the 32-spline wide-track HD version of those axles with 4.10 gearing. And what's the payload on that model? The Max Towing package typically adds 35% more payload, 240 amp alernator, 850 watt engine fan, etc...all things that would benefit an overlander.

Is that the Vector Offroad mount on the dash holding the 67 Designs phone holder? Can't say I'm a fan of the new JL / Gladiator Vector mounting system. What I love about the JK version is that since it's a 1" tubular mounting system, virtually any device that has a mount for a 1" tube / handlebar, etc will work on it.

Cool video, nice Jeep. Im sure you already know but the trailer package does not mean better D44s, as they are standard on all Gladiators. The MAX TOW has the slightly wider and thicker tubing D44s, exact same D44s the Rubicon comes with, and 4.10 gears...yes. They even offer a factory rear locker now for non Rubicons as well. The max tow option needs more attention because you get better D44s, bigger alternator and cooling fan...among a few other things as well. All for less than a Rubicon.

The Sport S with Max Tow is the sleeper option for the gladiator I've decided. I wheeled a Cherokee and JKU for years without upgraded axles. At the end of the day, the money for a Rubicon for me just doesn't make sense.

MC, I was thinking on switching out the stock 245/75-r17's for Vision Turbine 17 X8.5 5-127.00 -6 on Milestar Patagonia M/T 33 X12.50R17 LT. Do you think I can get by without a lift?

Brad, Overall well done... Wins Front Bumper, lights and winch... Leather interior with TR Logo is pretty darn awesome! Wheel and Tires Roof tent Rock rails Understand not going with a Rubicon to keep cost down, but interesting didn't use a Max Tow Sport. Would be cool to see TR graphic on the Hood. Why no the Mopar 2" lift kit or spray in bed liner? Also surprised no heated seats or steering wheel.
