Love that you mentioned the rolling technique. I’ve been encouraging my wife to embrace that approach. We just bought two small duffels on our last trip - one REI, one Amazon. This resulted from my wife’s recognition that open tote bags and loose stuff is very annoying on long overlanding trips. I roll a t-shirt, underwear, and socks together and put in a medium ziplock, forcing out the air, one for each day. I keep extra pairs of jeans or shorts separate. Each evening I toss a ziplock for tomorrow into the rooftop tent; each morning I take my dirty clothes from the tent and shove in my laundry bag. I usually keep the clean rolled ziplock clothes in my frame pack in the truck, but I have many options. Sometimes they’re loose in a Thule rooftop storage for quick access. THANKS for another excellent gear review!

I agree with the extra space comment - thought of Gazelle immediately. Although as one who just packed it up this morning, it’s still a bit like wrestling an alligator.

Hi guys, on the bubba goose duffle. You said it’s the medium but also said it’s priced at 120. On the site it says 120 for small and 140 for med. Are you positive you have a med? I want to get the exact size you have and can’t find any other size reference online picture wise.

Awesome video once again. You're Gazelle shout out reminded me of a question I had for you both. I've recently converted from an RTT to a Gazelle (T4) and frequent rainy areas this time of year. Traditional tents have vestibules to keep your stinky shoes outside, but out of the weather. Where do you keep your shoes while camping in your Gazelle as it doesn't have a vestibule? Appreciate any feedback!
@ospreyluvr1690 Жыл бұрын
I'm running into the same thing. I'm thinking about setting up a tarp shelter over at least half the tent.
@lazynorse5607 Жыл бұрын
Keep shoes by the door.. or anywhere. The tent is huge. We sleep two and a mid size dog, us on 30" wide air mattresses. There's room for our duffels and shoes. I get where you're coming from, in a small backpacking tent you might take advantage of a small vestibule for your pack and shoes. Unnecessary with a McMansion tent like the T4.
@SMafam511 ай бұрын
I think a tarp or ez-up that connects your vehicle to the T4 would work well. We camp where there are always trees - so the tarp option is best in rain.
@jason.hartson11 ай бұрын
@@lazynorse5607 Room isn't the issue. It's having multiple pairs of stinky shoes inside of the sleeping area. Traditional tents have an easy solution with vestibules, but this style of tent doesn't have the same benefit.
