Well done. Its the small crazy things like the shot with the toe that make adventures like this an adventure of a life time. You may forget about how bad the skeeters were at one particular camp spot but you'll never forget about the shot with the toe.

I saw them putting WD-40 around the brakes, it makes sense, I use to do myself till I learned it cause sand & grit to stick the the brake area, and cause it to get on the brake pads, so its like sandpaper and wear out the pads & everything, just use brake cleaned.

If you have a firearms licence in Canada or at least one of them does and they fill out the proper forms it is okay for them to bring it in! and of course the firearm in question has to be legal in Canada of course but other than that I see no known problem, hope that answers it for you.
