one thing that is definitely cleared up in Generation Zero..... that "no well designed plan ever survives the initial action" usually plan all you want but "wing it" usually is your most successful tactic... run frantically and throw your arms in the air and cluck like a chicken (normally in your boxers with ducks on) apparently confuses the hell out of them according to Martin Riggs (lethal weapon 3) lol

If your planning on doing the whole story, DO NOT do the missions for Himfjäll Unrest or FNIX Rising, they are dlc missions and follow along after main story. Do main. Then Alpine (Bear symbol missions) Then FNIX (^ symbol, don't confuse with building blocks thats different)

Yeah single player that castle is a nightmare. Mainly because of the shear numbers but also they pop out behind the walls and shoot your back

Splitsie the flashlight dose not affect stealth, ive been prone with my light on and it took the robot standing on me to be able to spot me with no stealth benafits active

Might want to use single shot (V) instead of full auto, rapid single shots might not be as accurate as perfectly aimed ones but unless you’re in your enemy’s face you’ll probably score more hits with it than you do on full auto, especially at ranges over 50m

you should switch firing mod on your automatic rifle by pressing [V] to burst or single shot to get less recoil and loss of ammo.

Here are some tips for you beginners: When fighting a hunter,you should take down the guns first and NOT shoot their chest area if you want to save ammo,it deals the most damage to the machines. Avoid tanks and harvesters if you don't have enough firepower and medical supplies to confront them. DON'T SHOOT WITHOUT AIMING,you miss 75% of the shots you are firing,it is very painful to watch.If you want to shoot from the hip,you should learn it from the skill menu and choose your weapon right.Smg weapons are good for hip firing,not assault rifles such as AG4

Honestlyfind same problem with all robot companions these days... looking for a mod that lets me put the robot from starfield into a very slow trash compactor. They drive me crazy...er

@Flipsie sorry but I can't help it. You keep calling the hunters "tank"! 😵 You as the sniper should aim it's hmg on it's left arm, pretty much making it harmless on this level, the shoulder mounted gas grenade launcher has a low fire rate (later it will be a .50 sniper that can one shot you). If you flank it, you can shoot it's fuel cell on the back, beats the mag dumping 😉 Those massive four legged crawlers are the harvesters. They can spawn hunters, the best way to deal with them is to shoot them from behind. The actual tank is a massive two legged guy armed to the teeth. You can shoot off its guns, but be careful because that makes him try to run over anyone nearby. Can't go too close to it, it triggers either gas or shockwave. Even for 3 ppl, best to loot basically anything, you'll need an insane amount of components for schematics and weapon enhancing (this can be accessed by the right side of the crafting bench ). Once you have the robot companion, you want it to have the rocket launcher, so it can deal with the runners no problem. Unlocking the ballistic armor for your companion, makes it pretty resilient. One of you may want to go down the hacker skill tree, it's super helpful to hack and turn robots against each other.

I just wanna say..... the companions in this seem really unbalanced and I don't blame you for getting annoyed with them. I think they need more work, maybe a highlight around them so you can tell them apart from the enemy, accuracy on par with their enemy counterparts, and the ability for players to walk through them and vice versa. They seems cool but I would want to start shooting rockets at them if I had that experience. Oh and this game looks kewl as heck.

Honestly, I'm genuinely confused why many of your sniper shots don't appear to be connecting. I mean I can see you aim at the things. So is there bullet drop? Bloom perhaps? It's so weird.

I'm not sure, most of the time it doesn't seem like there's any bullet drop, but every now and then it does, it's like there's a randomised inaccuracy like space engineers has

@@Flipsie The drop is slight until you get to the really long ranges. What is throwing you off is that you're aiming too high. There is a just a tiny bit of upwards jerk when using the sniper & hunting rifles. At longer ranges you don't notice because the bullet drop counters it and at close ranges the target is so big (relatively) that the bullet will still hit it. Its at those middling ranges you're shooting at where its really noticable. Try aiming for the lower half of the fuel cells (just below the armor plate on military runners), that way the upwards jerk will carry the impact point into the center. The companion only seems overpowering because you're still in the training-wheels area. Wait till you start running into packs of military or FNIX hunters. Your loyal runner becomes a whole lot more fragile when the Swedish Terminators start packing 20mm anti-tank rifles on their shoulders and their runners have rocket launchers.
