The night bus was built for small people. Dad, you were a real trooper. That was roughing it. Dad , sitting up in a seat would have been far better like in an airplane. Alina, Harriet and I would have felt claustrophobic. As always, dear friends Thank you for taking us along for the ride. It was worth it to go to Siem Reap from what we hear it's a lovely city. Looking forward to your next video. Sending love to you both 🙏❤🙏 from Harriet, Jim and Yuki Richmond, Va.

I think that bus is fabulous. I used to travel often between Delhi and Dharamsala by night bus, sitting up on a chair. I hated that, but this bus is something I wouldn't mind at all.

I took the Ibis bus from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. I think that was about 6 hours in total, including 45 min stop mid-way for food, toilets, etc. It was fine, with a departure around 9am-ish. There was a toilet on the bus but I didn't use it. It claimed wi-fi, but I couldn't get anything out of it. I'm too old for overnight buses or any bus ride more than 6 hours. I was recently in Laos and did an airplane from Luang Prabang to Vientiane -- 45 min flight v. 12 hours on the bus. You mentioned that Siem Reap is your favorite. Curious to hear more about that. Angkor Wat is amazing obviously, but I thought Siem Reap was so-so and touristy -- I much preferred Phnom Penh as a city.

Hello Alina. It is really hard travelling by bus at night. Generally, I wouldn't sleep during bus travel at night. The driver would stop in between for tea. I will rush to the cafe. I don't know how your dad manages to travel. Bye. See you on the next video.

Oh dear! The area with all the beds on the bus looked cramped and those beds look pretty uncomfortable and too small for any adult! So sorry you had to deal with that Alina! But I hope you are enjoying your time in Cambodia 🇰🇭. It is a fascinating country. Are you planning to visit Laos 🇱🇦 next? Also, if you ever get to travel out to the Middle East in the future you should visit Israel 🇮🇱! From a friend of mine who’s been there she described it as being like a very compressed United States with so many different cultures living side by side. Not to mention all the amazing history!

Oh hell no ! -- I'm 6' 2'' & 222 -- no way do I want that. I'll take the day trip in a reclining seat - thank you very much ! -- Maybe in a train - but not a bus. -- ? -- Siem Reap is a 'beautiful city' and a wonderful place with food variety galore. Many expats - some 20K I hear who love it there. Cost of living is very low & retirement visas can't be beat virtually anywhere. The people have been voted the friendliest on the planet by international travelers worldwide ! English is all you need here for a pleasant life and they even accept the USD. Really a terrific place to retire in relative comfort for under $1000/mo. in recurring expenses. - And - cheap 1 hour flights can be had to Bangkok for fun or very high quality affordable health care if desired.

Nope don't see the resemblance with the boy whom lived, no matter how much I squint. I like the idea of being able to semi stretch out. I don't really sleep well on any moving conveyances, unless I'm exhausted. Catnaps are best that I could do, even on twelve to fourteen hour flights, or twenty hour train trips. But being able to lie down makes it seem comfortable to me. I'm happy to learn that ear plugs will make the end of the world much more palatable. Never considered that in my disaster preparedness kit, that ear plugs should be included. Things I can learn from a trip to Cambodia.
