Great episode Joe. Don’t underestimate just how uplifting a video of yours can be to someone who’s had a bad day. For instance, just being able to sit down and watch this at the end of the day made it so much better than what it could have been. Keep it going bud, your channel is the #1 thing I look forward to watching from any source (ie: tv, cable, streaming services, etc.)

What a great video - thank you for all the incredible work you have done in both filming and editing your work! 👍🏾 I'm in New Zealand, and my grandfather was a forrester back in the 1940s when they cut the trees down with cross saws and dragged them out of the bush with draft horses, then floated them down the river to the sawmill. My Dad grew up in the bush near a lake. Two houses with gardens, a paddock for the horses, and they were surrounded by bush (forest). 😊

Been watching quietly for several years and always enjoy what you are doing. Since material seems to be rather abundant for the fort, did you ever consider building a small cabin? I'm not suggesting something on a scale as Shawn's, but certainly something a bit more robust than a leanto shelter and a bit more weather tight and comfortable? I would suggest that from a certain perspective it wouldn't take a lot of extra effort considering what you are already doing. What do you think Joe?

If you must sleep with socks on make sure they are fresh ones and not the ones you have worn all day and sweat in. your feet will freeze. I found stripping right down to my underwear worked best. I always left my long underwear beside me in my sleeping bag, so when I got up in the morning it was warm already. Again, really enjoying the fort series! All the best.

I'm a subscriber and a fan, I've never commented and I like your videos! I have nothing negative to say at all!!! At 54 mins you brought your daughter into the video and she stole the whole damn thing! As a fan, I would ask for more of this! Down in the lower 48 we don't get to go out to the outdoors anymore. My 4 year old grandson watches youtube videos with me.

Just a suggestion, but if you were to cut a "V" notch in the top of the wall logs it would help stabilize them by locking them into the roof support log.

Joe, you should hollow out a canal in the tops of those logs so the side beam sits in it and that roof beam's weight would make that new wall more secure!
