I tried this and it worked very well. I made a couple of changes- 1- I used some leave in conditioner instead of water to just dampen my hair; 2 - instead of making princess leaha (sp?) buns, I took each of the ends to the back/nap of my head/neck, crossed them and then wrapped them back around the front and tied them on my forehead. That way I can sleep on my back and sides without buns being in the way. Thanks for the video.

So pretty!! I have been wearing my hair curled daily. It’s been easier for me to wear it curled since I’ve been trying not to wash it everyday, so basically, I’ll curl it with a curling iron the first day after I wash it and it stays curled for the next two days if I do a little upkeep in between. I think I’m going to try this technique as soon as the shaved side I’m growing back in gets another inch or two longer! Love this idea!! 🖤

French braids don't give a pretty curl , more of a wave , usually kind of clumped in the strands that they were braided. You can always tell when someone has slept in braids VS a curling iron. These look more like a classic curling iron curl.
@brieb97504 жыл бұрын
Sierra Marini I sort of agree... I only do one main French braid down the back and since I have some layers, and it’s thick, it comes out great. When I do two braids, it’s more noticeable and not as polished. Esp if hair is thin at bottom then waves are uneven. This is def prettier, but my method works well on my hair. Just like makeup, it’s different for everywhere.

I'm definitely going to try this! Thanks! Worked out great, sleept fine! It's not as much trouble, It didn't give the direction like with individual wrapped. I only very recently found your channel, but you give me such hope that I can do some of your hairstyles!!! You go slow enough and explain it so beginners have a chance! I also adore how if something didn't go as planned, you show us how to fix it! Thank you.

Much easier - wrap the damped sections of your hair around your fingers, the number of fingers and the thickness of sections depend on if you want the curls or the waves. Then take two or more hairpins and X pin the wrapped sections to your head. You can sleep on it and in the morning you will have beautiful curly or wavy hairdo. Make sure you don't leave any hanging "tails" after pinning the sections. It may take a bit of practice but soon it becomes effortless and you can do it even watching tv

This works so well!! My curls came out almost the same as hers, just a bit looser. I usually braid my hair when I want headless waves, but I think this works better. I sleep on my stomach so it didn’t bother me when I slept. If you sleep on your side I would recommend tying the belt together in the back and using bobby pins. That’s what I did because the buns seemed a bit uncomfortable to sleep in

You could buy a used robe belt at a thrift store and cut the belt to fit

My robe is satin, so I'm gonna try this! The softer material may be less drying to my hair. Thanks for the tutorial.

Her: “Most of us girls, women have a robe” Me: I don’t own a robe... Is there anything I can use besides a robe belt? Also, love the results!!

I do a similar wrap/twist technique that ends in a twist bun but only use hair! hopefully this will actually make my curls the one length

As someone who has really thick hair that is medium/shorter length, I was really surprised to see how well this work! The back is a bit flat but I can’t really do much about that. The only problem is that my hair is rock solid when you put it in a bun so I had to get a little creative with tying it up

I don't usually leave comments but i have to say that this method honestly works! I prefer my hair curly but also trying to stay away from hot tools. I've searched high and low for a method that works and this 100% works. I would be happy to show you myself if you need proof! :-D.
