On today's adventure I started by packing up my sled full of my camping gear and the aluminum foil packing tape and other tools needed to build this wild shelter. it was the same spot where I built the saran wrap shelter in the winter snow storm and the cardboard box shelter in winter. I then began by forging for the aluminum foil and I shook some tape down form a tape tree. I laid down the blue tarp on the floor for some nice waterproof ground. I then began to tie up with some rope the stick to support the foil roof. Once I tied up the web of trees I started to tear and wrap it with the aluminum foil. Once I layered the aluminum foil sheets like shingles and wrapped the bottom of the roof with some layers as well the roof was complete. I built the roof on a slight slant to let the rain drip off and drain to one side during the rain storm that was coming. After a quick break in the hammock it was time to get back at it and build or put up the walls. I decided to wrap each tree trunk with the foil like a burrito then taping segments of foil length wise to each foil tree burrito base for support. I began to layer and build up each wall. Now it was time for the door I wanted a door that would swing open and closed to keep animals and the rain out. I used a tall stick to divide the front wall in half and then built the door out of other sicks and rope and wrapped it all in aluminum foil for the walls of the door. I used packing tape hinges on the door. Once the door was up I put some bottom layers of foil all around the shelter and then covered the bottom layer with the leaves and sticks form the forest floor to make it weather and wind proof. Finally! after all the time the shelter was built and it looked amazing. Like a giant mirror in the middle of the woods or a crashed space ship. I'm sure the airplanes flying above could see the reflection from the sun from walls and the roof all the way from up there in the sky. It was bright and amazing! Exhausted I needed some food and energy. For dinner I cooked some four cheese tortellini with a nice spicy read pasta sauce.Yumm. I cooked up some orange bell pepper and some garlic in a pan as well for some extra flavor. Once it was all cooked up I made my pasta bowl out of aluminum foil to fit the theme for the day. I poured myself a large bowl and began to chow down! Tasty! After dinner it was time to metal detect he forest. I wanted to find some treasure it would be sweet if I found some gold ha. I believe this was very old farm land so I knew there was chance to find some cool stuff. First thing I found and dug up was an old Winchester turkey and pheasant shotgun shell. I then made it down to the larger pond and filmed a bit of a turtle covered in moss sitting on a log I the middle of the water. so cool :D. I then found an old chewed up deer skull. I then metal detected an old like metal double carabiner or clip of some sort. I then I found some fungus spores on an old log which I stepped on and made a cloud of spores pretty wild. I then metal detect and found a larger piece of metal with long hole in it I though it could have been an old like plow tool or some sort of saw blade but I'm really not sure what it could have been. Now it was time to relax a bit form all the work /activities . I watched the sunset and filmed the clouds rolling by beautiful skies tonight :D. Now I started to cook up a snack. Jiffy Pop it was. While cooking it the side burst and about a quarter of the popcorn came flying out and some of it got burned as well lol. Still tasty! I then went on a night walk and filmed some wonderful frog life super loud but awesome! After the night walk it was time for bed. I turned on my little buddy heater and tucked in for the night. At around 5 AM in the morning it began to rain hard. the shelter healed up beautifully. It was morning I Made some breakfast pancakes yumm! After the delicious meal it was time to pack up and head back home. I tore down the shelter in the funnest way I could think lol. All that work and it tore down so fast lol. I had the largest ball of foil Ive ever seen and I packed it up on my sled and dragged it back home. It was a wonderful shelter and experience I truly hope you enjoyed the journey along with me :D
Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day :D
