The Omaha steaks are good,several years back we had a guy that use to stop by(im in So,illinois)and we bought some t-bones and ribeyes spencer,he never mentioned any seasonings they sold but the steaks were really good.Thanks for takin us on another adventure,you been figuring out the bigger rivers and doing awesome with those Blues.

The barge bite is definitely real. The key is rocks. Get on the rocks and fish up shallow in fast water on an outside bend. Where you wouldn't normally fish. When that barge sucks the water down it sucks the food outta the rocks and fish gather there. Every time. Then when barge gets past all the water sloshing continues cleaning the rocks out. We usually have a 30 minute window of nonstop action. Once you figure out what I mean you'll probably do like we do which is fish a spot for twenty minutes then run up ahead of the barge to the next set of rocks and set up again. You'll see eventually 🤯. Great vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎 u

Nice video, those steaks looked tasty! I have a theory on the barge bite. I fish a small river in Texas (San Jacinto) that has small dredging barges that tugs push. The seagulls are always following the barges feasting on shad cut up by the tugs propellors. When I'm sitting on a log jam using Livescope, I see the catfish go crazy when the barge comes by, swimming in circles in and out of the brush. My theory is the chopped shad is an opportunity feeding they have learned to recognize. Either that or they really hate barges.

Hey Spencer, I use to be 5’ 10.5 “ . I was also a powerlifter, martial artist EMT/ Firefighter. Fell 30 ft. After a collapse. I quickly went from 180 to 300 lbs. lost 125 but my body likes 200 lbs where I currently sit. From the fall I dropped 3.5” in height. Tell your buddy to take care of his bum shoulder. Next year I would like to book a trip, like a camp 2-3 day trip if you do that. I don’t care if you film I’m easy. Well wait I’m not that easy. I mean I’m easygoing. Think it would be a blast!

My dad used to get Omaha steaks (filet minions) all the time and I recently got some and they weren’t near as good as they used to be 10-15 years ago. But I did also get some burgers and hotdogs and I gotta say they were the best I’ve ever had!

i fish the Mississippi alot below St Louis. mainly bank fishing. ive sat long nights without a single bite. ive had nights they just want to eat anything. but ive had times where i wasnt getting bit until a barge came through. it doesnt happen everytime. i agree. probably doesnt happen more than it does happen. but ill always get more excited and ready when theres a barge rolling through just because it HAS happened a few times.

In my home river of the Susquehanna in central Pennsylvania, there are no barges. ( The river is basically all jagged rocks). We do though swear by the "train bite" 😂 the railroad pretty much follows every inch of the river crossing it several times. Similar to your barge bite I think ones of us caught one once apon a time during a close encounter withba train passing and ever since then we celebrate every train passing through by yelling "train bite, here we go"! 😂😂 Great video as always. I wish we had blue cats around here, all the flatheads have pretty much gone to bed for the year 😢

Dude barge bite is legit in spring I think it more likely to work. We have it work literally over and over to a point we only expect get bites if we got barges going All night. Then as spawn comes it seems not as effective. It so odd we go hours with out bites then catch a flathead the moment they pass by.
