Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Hmm....I wonder how a snowball fight in SPACE would work. Either in space or on the asteroid(Or both for two videos). Although, you might have to up the number of projectiles to simulate a minigun or shotgun style in order to increase the chance of hitting anything. Also, I don't remember you testing this, but do shields work against snowballs or do they pass through since they act a bit more like collision damage?

If I'm not mistaken, they act as physical projectiles and go through shields, same with all the other dispensers

@@radontrailmakers Oh, interesting. Reminds me of Stargate where slow moving projectiles could penetrate Goa'uld shields because they were considered too primitive to be a threat.

Hey, here's an idea. What about hav8ng a challenge where you all build from a template essentially. For example, there is a preset base size for a tank, and you just build the top and turret. Idk if this would actually be interesting or not, but could be fun

like you pick a preset part that is like a premade wheel system, or premade engine system, or turret system, and you cant edit that but can edit everything else? kinda reminds me of the junkyard welding challenges in scrap mechanic

I'm glad you did this. I was one of the people suggesting this kind of idea, and it's fun to see you implement it while the Winter Island was still around. It's also nice to see the thematic tie in of the snowball launcher finally. It's always weird seeing the snowball launcher in the desert island tracks of the normal game. Out of all the puns available, none of you used "Sleigh"(slay). I mean in this day and age you could have had fun with it. You know, "3, 2, 1, SLEIGH QUEEN!! YAAAAS!!!!"

Based in the mishap, you should all make a vehicle with a 200 block limits, and everyone have to roll a random number generator and based on the number you got, your block limit got reduced

11:19 the whole strategy against a turretless tank, is to flank them, if you have a fast enough tank, and you can avoid being hit. or, find cover, and try to shoot back at it, and if they decide to close 8n on you, there's the chanse to run out and, again, flank them. the weakpont of a turretless tanks, is close range. not all of them has good turning in the spot.

Video Idea. Hovercrafts or Cars. Put Quantum Rudders on them (Gives a sort of slowfalling effect). Get a map with lots of jumps, inclines and cliffs. Fight.

I have a idea What about a car/tank derby with the EMPs so you could be on like a platform that has some type of moat so when someone gets EMPed they can drive off. Problem is that emp doesn’t make it so you constantly drive so maybe you also have the normal car Debbie stuff
