Strength isn't just about muscle size. You'll find that ppl with large muscles aren't actually the strongest people, they're actually more for show rather than being functional. The ppl with the chiseled bodies aren't the ppl winning strongman competitions, the ppl with the dad bods built like a bear are.

This is also not considering that fact that Zarya has no additional specialized enhancements to her strength. Granted, I think Mauga was still fairly strong even before his double heart surgery, it goes the show Zaryas extremely capable merely on her own. Enough for her to garner a lot respect from Mauga himself when he refers to her weightlifting champion title (Which says a lot, since this one of the few times he’s not being snarky about something and showing genuine excitement of meeting his idol). It at least goes to show that Zarya’s feats of strength are world renowned for a good reason.

Yeah, Mauga is the kind of guy who wont pass on a potential challenge, if he thinks the gauntlet has dulled Doomfists strength he won't be afraid to test out this theory. Mauga is lucky that Akande still sees use in Mauga otherwise I'm sure he would have either killed him himself, or had someone like Reaper do the dirty work.

I think it's just the eras in their respective universes. Tf2 is in the 60's where nobody cares if you call someone fat or worse, overwatch is in the 2100's where people are a lot more interconnected and calling someone fat woulda not be as accepted and considered a superficial insult
