I think they completely messed up. The Egyptian mythology season would be the season when they released venture instead of Juno And Juno should have released in season 10 or the themes got swapped so the Egyptian mythology season should have been season 10 and the mirror watch season would have been season 12

You are probably right, this could also align with the absence of any venture skin and the weird nameing of S10 (Venture forth) that has nothing to do with the theme of the season, and there are evidences that clash should have released with venture instead of a trial for the teaser of anubis at the end of the venture gameplay trailer. One plausible explanation of the switch could be the blizzard lay-off that slowed down the production delaying the release of clash and with it the release of the egyptian mytology season, because they probably nead the anubis map for something, that is also implied in the fact that we didn't got a venture origin story yet because they are tied to that map, and the Venture's adventure teaser and short story are incomleated because they don't include the part where the anubis map is shown

I recall during the Venture trailer getting a glimpse of an Egyptian themed map.. I personally thought they would remix Temple of Anubis along with the Hanaoka Map.. Since they would most likely do 2x maps for the Clash mode release.. and if the next season has an Egyptian theme, I think they will launch the clash gamemode with the new Temple of Anubis map. Just my speculation.

Also, I don't remember so well anubis but I think the part we saw on the trailer wasn't from the og map, so would be a little bit strange to create a new part only for a trailer.

I´m hoping so hard for an Anubis-Rammatra-Mythic-Skin as it would suit him so well! If he doesn´t get the Mythic-Skin at least a normal legendary-skin as Anubis would be cool but a Tank getting the new Mythic seems most likely. For his ultimate with such a Mythic I could imagine the swarm looking like darkness or black sand as Orisa already has a sandstorm-esque effect and it could maybe be to similar.

Egyptian mythology actually makes sense for season 12. In Venture's trailer, they teased a map that looks like the Temple of Anubis. Since the new game mode clash will (probably) release, that means there will be at least one new clash map in addition to Hanaoka. Releasing a Temple of Anubis like map could make sense during an Egyptian mythology themed season.

I think the theme will be the egypcian one, for 2 reasons. The first and more ovbious is that season 13 will be released on final october, so whitches can be a very good theme for the Halloween season (like this year we had a phantom theme on season 7), and the other reason, if clash is released this season, we had a sneek peek about anubis being the second map of clash on Venture trailer so the theme would be in relationship with one of the maps released. Being also a very important map for the lore and who knows if maybe we can see any pve event there like we saw on season 6 on Kings Row, but I don't think it will happen tbh.

It was mentioned briefly by Alec Dawson that season 13 would be the map rework season Aaron talked about in that dev blog a while back I doubt they would release Clash in the same season as those reworks plus the second clash map is very likely that temple of Anubis remake which would be very fitting for the ancient Egypt theme

The hopeful part of me thinks they will make an Egyptian clash map that they let us test in season 12 because it will likely be an Egyptian themed season, and they teased an Egyptian map in Venture’s trailer. I also think it’s possible Venture gets a skin this season because of the Egyptian theming. I wish they just gave Rammattra a legendary Anubis skin and gave Venture a mythic enchanted explorer skin or something like that to make up for the character having zero legendaries.

Egyptian mythology with an Anubis Ramattra mythic should have been Venture’s release season. It just makes sense not only with their interests but the fact that Venture was shown in lore drops to have made discoveries related to Anubis. I disagree about Clash. In a developer update they said that there would be a season that would be map reworks instead of a new map, and later on they confirmed that the map reworks were for season 13, so unless they changed their mind since then season 13 can't be Clash.

As a tank player, a Ram mythic would be pretty disappointing. The other tank mythics were sig, orisa, and queen. Both the sig and orisa skins felt like let downs to me, and the queen one was good but the hero was too new so I hadn't really learned her enough to want the mythic yet. A rein, ball, monke, hog, or dva skin would all feel much better

Season 12 predictions: - Egyptian Mythology - Ram Mythic skin, and good skins for Ana, Venture, Pharah - Competive changes - finally add the ability to avoid 10 players - Ability to see grouped players again - Test of role queue but where it is just 1 tank and 4 dps or support - Juno Season 13 predictions: - Witches - Brigitte or Sombra mythic skin, new color for classic Mercy witch skin - Clash released with 2 maps - Hanaoka and something related to Temple of Anubis (eg Valley of Anubis) - New Trials of Sanctuary for Halloween - Reaper rework also timed around halloween Season 14 predictions: - Trial of 6v6 but game will still be tuned for 5v5 so it will be horrible and they will say "we told you so" and go back to 5v5 permanently. If they really wanted it to be successful it would need massive rebalances like to cut all shield duration by 25%, rework tank passives, etc - New tank - probably with yet another shield to even further make it clear we are never going back to 6v6 - Introduce some major changes to competitive like pick/ban heros, map voting (data for which maps to rework), and some type of improvements to MMR that takes other things into account besides win/loss (eg K/D ratio, time on payload/push bot, Play of the game, etc) - Some additional collab with Anime/Movie/etc...I would love to see Critical Role, Dragon Ball, Star Trek, Tron, Lord of the Rings, or Dune Beyond/wishlist: - Vaulting of heros and maps...now that we have many more options, we can start vaulting heros and maps for 2-3 seasons to allow for reworks. - Pickable passives become a permanent feature - PLEASE for the LOVE of OVERWATCH - make the numbers behind the game simpler...eg too complex for new/casual player to know: x does y damage, unless against a take + every hero can get headshot damage, except for X, - Maybe combine support and DPS into one category - with every hero able to heal themselves via health packs and not getting hit, healing is not as important anymore. All recent support heros have been emphasizing their other abilities and going crazy on damage potential - PLEASE give back a small amount of competitive rank losses whenever you report a person and the report is confirmed by blizzard (eg retroactively give you back 50% of the lost amount) - Find a group system - Auto-detection for thrower (eg if someone comes on voice or text chat and says "i'm going to throw now" and then goes afk for 10 seconds or their weapon accuracy goes to 0%, automatically ban them for 24 hours, end the game immediately, and don't impact MMR)

There are so many venture enjoyers I’ve come across that genuinely like them and would buy skins immediately upon release but characters like Juno and Mercy are easier to be universally liked so their popularity is always going to be sky high. There are characters you can tell are designed to be mass appealing for a quick few bucks. That’s not to say they aren’t *good* characters. It’s not a negative to be easily liked. I’ve played mercy for years now and have been looking forward to “Space Ranger” ever since she was teased. Even Kiriko back when we didn’t even have her design revealed. But I also like less popular characters such as tracer (who is popular but obviously not to the same mass. Nor is she known to non ow players/pvp players. At least from what I’ve experienced.) Ashe, Sym, Sombra (who is only known for a few memes) Cassidy, and Hanzo. I may not play these characters (because I’m bad at utilising them.) but their personalities are endearing to me. But they really are only popular to people into certain niches. Characters like DVA and Juno check boxes for a large variety of different people for entirely different reasons who probably would share nothing in common with if put into a room together. Chances are if you really like Cassidy, you played or are interested in red dead. Another example would be if you’re into Genji you must call your partner mommy or daddy. Ayo don’t shoot the messenger I’m just sharing truths.

I feel like Ramattra won't be the next mythic. Because he recently just got his Legendary Megatron Skin. All mythic skins were for people who haven't had a new legendary skin in a while. So it leaves three more than likely candidates with a 50/50 in the back. The most likely are Dva, Doomfist and Winston, with Wrecking Ball being the 50/50 since he did get an epic skin in the battle pass.

They might not give skins to allow the base character design to settle in a bit. To make the character more iconic. Releasing skins can help sure up financials during downturn quarters to balance the overall Blizzard portfolio. Like I get it could start making bank right away, but if a particular skin could make more bank in a different quarter than I think they would take that approach.

The battle pass always says when the new season starts. It says how many days there are left of the current season or am I missing something? I’ve heard people say blizzard hasn’t said when the new season starts but the battle pass says how many days are left of the current one.

The trailer for Juno states the next season starts on the 20th of August. Even if the BP says how many days are left it doesn´t always have to be acurrate as Season 10 for example came one week later. If you’re correct about him getting the mythic bro you don’t understand I would flip out in a good way I’ve been waiting for him to get one forever obviously he’s my main.
