Hanzo pocketed is the scariest shit in the game though. oneshot back, more storm arrow damage, and massive arrows is so much damage. but you have to play slime Hanzo which is stay out of enemy LOS and constantly peak different angles

Gold Hanzo one trick here. Strength wise, the higher consistency and lower damage kinda cancel each other out. But he definitely feels like he's lost his soul and is generally less fun to play.

I personally think he's been weak and has needed buffs for ages. The only time in recent memory he was relevant to any meta was during the mauga meta in season 8, and he was still weak then he just happened to be useful against mauga. If they buff him, they should buff the regular draw speed and not the damage, because with the one shot and higher consistency he'd already be oppressive in my hands, let alone someone significantly better than me at him. Buffing the draw speed means he's less venerable to hit scans that can kill before he gets the second arrow out and he'd be actually somewhat useful at applying the DPS passive.

the main shitty thing with hanzo now, as someone who plays a lot of him, is that he used to be my go to swap if someone swapped sombra into my widow. But now that she can’t be one shot, if you don’t have storm arrow up, miss any of the storm arrows, or the sombra is smart enough to not get in melee range then you’re a free pick every time

fr. his arrow charge time with his projectile drop off makes finishing any target significantly harder, so he is only worth playing into widow or tracer (since he still one shots them). it's such a shame they butchered him so badly

as a dedicated Hanzo main I can vouch for the huge health pools at 12:12, I hit so many headshots consistently and majority of squishes are left on 20 health or so. Besides widow and tracer my kills get taken away leaving me with little final blows and more assists than anything, causing me to be just a backline spammer instead of actually taking 1v1s without having to worry about more then half my hp being decimated in a millisecond it's not fun to play as Hanzo Right now knowing more then half the cast can delete your hp faster then Hanzo can fully charge an arrow is beyond me. a Good way to make Hanzo a balanced hero would be to give him his one-shot back for normal projectiles, lower the damage of sonar arrow since it's a flat blunt projectile and lower his storm arrow damage by a little bit cause it's not fair having all my kills get taken away from me hitting fully charged shots to the head. due to my damage leave my opponent on one heath. it happens more then you think, not being able to one-shot takes away from good lineups and good aim and should be changed.

People have complained about Hanzo's unfair one-shot arrow for ages, so they should definitely not bring back the one-shot. Instead, they should just add back the scatter arrow so you could finish your kills with an extra step.

@@hypadao235 People would complain about his scatter arrows being back more then his one shot because back in the day Hanzo's scatter arrows did 400 damage and was able to one-shot more then half the cast of hero hens why it was removed, the team at blizzard wanted Hanzo to be a skill based hero but now since he can't kill anyone with a full charge arrow *not counting widow and tracer* isn't fair and he gets rolled by basically everyone. you need to use all your storm arrows just to kill one person and if you miss a shot or two their health is instantly regenerated by their supports and you get insta killed, since he may be able to clime after using his dash there only so much you can do to defend yourself, you need to rely on hitting head-shots in order to kill someone. I really think the changes I suggested would actually be better for the community and Hanzo, since having good aim is rewarded with instant kills not being able to do so with Hanzo make it unfair and not fun to play in comp and QP. Hi, I play a lot of Hanzo and though I've had the opposite sort of experience, I think that makes a lot of sense. After the change his more optimal play styles feel more in line with other mid range dps. So if you were more used to that before, then I can definitely see why Hanzo would work better for you now.

I just came from a few of the 6v6 vs 5v5 videos and just wanted to throw out an idea. Instead of arguing about the current format vs the old, why not change the role format. Keep 5v5 but have 5 roles, tank, tank/dps, dps, dps/support, and support. For example, Tanks (zarya, reinhart, winston, dva, sygma, ramatra, roadhog). Tank/Dps (orisa, mauga, wrecking ball, doomfist, junker queen, bastion, reaper). Dps (soldier, pharah, cassidy, widow, tracer, sojourn, genji, junkrat, ashe, hanzo). Dps/Support (sombra, symmetra, torbjorn, mei, moira, kiriko, baptiste). Support (mercy, brigette, life weaver, ana, illari, zenyatta).

taking away Hanzo's one shot means the only thing he is good at is tank busting. the problem is there are other heroes that are better. the most annoying thing i have noticed is that you cant even oneshot combo a reaper when he tps to you. a well timed headshot and melee combo used to be enough but now its not.
