I started in bronze 2 years ago and have climbed to diamond. From my experience, learning to make decisions quickly, punish mistakes, and recognizing mistakes of your own and the enemy is key to climbing. Im still climbing and learning after 1000hrs

If you're an insane t500 or GM player you can just brute force your way out of lower ranks but if you're say a plat player skill wise but have a bad run in placements and end up put in silver you're probably not good enough to carry a bunch of silver players consistently so making a new account and getting fresh placements is the best way out. I don't know why there's a debate about this at this point, we've seen it work a thousand times.

For those like the dva in this gameplay, defense matrixing high noon is fairly simple, wait 1-2 seonds while he locks on to people, then defense matrix him. If he pulls the trigger before then, it wont kill anyone unless they are already low. Also, some mccrees are patient and will wait out defense matrix, using it in the middle of high noon leaves them with little time to actually use it and more time exposed while doing so.

I don't know whats up with diamond on console, but the skill level between different diamonds is massive. You can face a Rein that only pins into the enemy backline in one match, and then the next match get some gigachad who can carry your team.

I feel like the rein was calling shatters here, Dva made some very aggressive moves that seemed out of place just before shatters a couple of times. Often they resulted in Dva getting pounded but the shatter carrying the fight. So on balance, maybe not too bad!
