Look at the enemy's team-comp; choosing Widow there was an intentional handicap that the player couldn't overcome. They didn't play Widow badly, but they put themselves in a position where they had to play extremely well to actually get value. I always see the "Life of a Widow main" comments about situations like this, which perfectly explains why they have that feeling. They want to play Widow into a comp that doesn't support it, do good but not well enough, and then just shrug and say "Well I did all I could do" rather than counter-picking the enemy team. What could they have done? Switched. But of course people don't want to hear that you have to counter people in Overwatch and would rather see it as something more akin to CoD/Halo.

Here's my analyzis: since role queue, there's a huge group of DPS players who are too lazy to actually queue for DPS, so they queue for tank and refuse to play anything other than Roadhog and Zarya. Or they queue for support and play attack Moira/Baptiste. Hopefully those players either learn to play the other roles, or fall down to bronze by the end of this season. Kudos to all actually DPS players who queues forever for every game!

Actually, the difference between winning and losing on ladder, at least for me, is what the tank line up is. It doesnt how good your DPS players r if the tank line up doesnt support it or is at a serious disadvantage both their DPS or Tanks. Im high diamond rn. That could be the reason as solo q dps on role q is very risky at ranks where people actively chose not to play the meta or shield tanks.

Tanks are the primary reason for match loses in this current meta. No one wants to play Orisa/Sig other then the opponent's. DPS does not matter and Moira's are DPSing instead of healing.

This exactly I'm not a goddess at this game. I'm honest that I play mercy and moira because I haven't played FPS and especially overwatch since it came out and thus I can't even fucking aim (I'm working on it) But being put in silver and falling because my team is full of feeders, reins who drop their shield when I'm using it as cover for raising and then get picked since he dropped it, 2 off tanks, lucios who yolo into the enemy team, dps who makes me scream "GET A SINGLE FUCKING PICK PLEASE" the few times I'm able to boost them, when the opposing team is actually focus firing and all I can do is tape a beam on my teammate and pray as my heals are just not enough to outlast the focus fire 9/10 times and they'd rather stay in front of the shields if we're lucky enough to have some. Like. I'm not the best. I don't think I am either. But I'm not the one running headfirst into shit every time. I spam "hello" at a wall my teammates are hiding behind just about a step away from where I can see them while they're crit health and end up seeing them die to a flanker since they never peeked me. I've gotten people yelling at me to raise them literally every time they die when they're knee deep in bullshit and there's no way I could raise them and not die and I've died to dvabombs because there's no one to GA to to get away safely. I can only do so much. I'm playing Ana a bit more in QP because I like her, but I'm not gonna play her too long in comp till I feel my aim is good enough. But my aim and game sense can only get me so far as long as I'm solo queueing and my team is a bunch of wild rabbits hopping about

Keo This is extremely true. I always here people saying “you’re in the rank you belong” or “you should be able to climb if you’re good enough.” The only time I was able to climb in support was when I didn’t understand Moira so I played her as a dps Moira with an average of only 5k healing per ten minutes. Once I learned that it isn’t acceptable, I started playing her as I should and I dropped from plat to gold because my team couldn’t do the damage they need to do to win. I’m about to start playing Ana because I get scared to do damage as Moira now because I’ve become a healbot with her. Also, so I can nade and sleep which could hopefully make me win more games since my team can’t do what they need to do otherwise. Although, if I use Ana no one helps me even if I spam “I need help” (which I don’t think they understand that by letting their main support die is a prime reason they’re in gold in the first place.) The last time I placed for healing I lost three games in a row because my team wouldn’t work together, had no shield tank, or would never even try to touch point. The last two I won I did the exact same thing as the other three, but my team did what they needed. I feel really bad for you especially because Mercy is the absolute hardest hero to climb with let alone in silver. The only rank I’ve been able to climb in is Tank because you have the ability to actually carry unlike healer. (I climbed from bronze to now 2800) I wish you all my luck. Hopefully we both get games where the team does what they need so we can get some win streaks and climb :). I believe in you hun!

She (widow) still got kills even with the barrier. The bigger issue was their team NOT having barriers in a barrier meta. Notice how easily they pushed when they got the Orisa, and how no one survived when she was switched back to off tank? You can get all the picks in the world and it won't matter if you're the only one alive and get hard focused. The team just kept dying even when they were up and had the numbers advantage.

Ok +stylosa, I’m 20 min in now and your talking about how this player just got over watched. This is part of why I complain about the recent change that added 2-2-2 roleQ. It doesn’t fix the issues plaguing the game. The issue being that you can’t carry for the lack of team involvement. The tank that isn’t filling a duty for example. In old OW a player like myself could flex out to tank. And boom we get that barrier that’s needed. You can get all the kills is the world but it’s not going to fix the team balance. This game here, not fun to play and an example of why I only watch it on KZbin right now.

On one hand they are cheating and buying a higher skill floor and an easier ceiling, but on the other if they are removed, the game becomes easier than Minecraft peaceful mode since only 5% of controller players can aim. This guy isn't though, so the spread of misinformation is such bullshit, i would hate if this situation happened to me if i was just trying to get coaching on my gameplay.

I really do like this content from you. I am a more casual player I suppose. Stopped playing ranked ages ago due to the very tense and sometimes toxic enviroment. That said, I always strive to become better in these types of games and Overanalyzed has helped me alot even though I now play just to win and dont stress about SR. I comfortably play all roles now and can most of the time adapt to the enemy teams style thanks to these videos. Keep up the good work and I hope that the RL issues sorts themselfes out. Also... Watching you lose your mind for 24 minutes was really entertaining :)

John Smith What does half and half even look like in FPS context? And even on PC with KB/M as default, who uses their keyboard to make movements pertaining to degrees of rotations? Isn’t that all done with the mouse, while WASD is used for forward, left, backward, right respectively?

@@skillustrates Half and Half is when you use the controller as a substitute for the keyboard, but still use a mouse aim (usually using the left side of the controller since it has the dpad). Its much rarer than full on mnk, but its still a possibility (that i highly doubt).

John Smith At the end of it all, I have no proof, so there’s no sense in me insisting on something I don’t know for certain. I’m on console and (I say this humbly and objectively) I’d say I’m among the more mechanically gifted players on the PS4. And even I can’t manage such high sensitivity settings with the analog stick. Often times, when I see such break-neck movement/aiming -especially flick shots, as seen in the vid- I tend to assume the player is using KB/M. I’ll take your word for it though.
