Also to this reinhardt guy: When you're in a 1v1 situation with another rein, never hold your shield. Every ability (except for earthshatter) that rein has goes through shields so you're essentially surrendering at that point if you just hold your shield like that. Even if you think you'll die, you might as well get him low enough so your team can kill him/get some ult charge.

Randy Casas I used to be a DPS main and I still consider myself one but my GPU died and I'd get u inconsistent performance so I started playing tank. I play rein, dva and Winston and I think I've been doing very well in them. I changed my mindset a lot which I think is the biggest reason why I'm climbing so much all of a sudden. I've been in gold for a long time since season 5 lol so I'm pretty sure it's all in the mindset and maybe my tank play too a little. And honestly I think flexing hurts more than does your good unless you're flexing to heroes you already know how to play well.

This guy is almost the exact same SR as I am right now and I have to say I am very surprised at some of the awful mistakes he made with his charges. Also his ult economy was very inconsistent. However he did make some better decisions than I would regarding the enemy Rein's Shatter and I did pick up on a few things I need to work on from both watching and the things Sty talked about. Jack Copp one, it shouldnt matter if the torb is playing correctly. 2 keeping armor at spawn is low key hoping that your team will have more deaths. 3 a proper rein in gold and plat can be considered more of a dps than most other choices 4 extra health is extra health no matter what there is never a down side to picking up armor in any scenario, they had a moira and zen, no dive on enemy team meaning zen was basically invincible as long as he didnt play stupidly and moira has fade and op healing orbs that armor would benefit her less than any other tank.

Ive heard from other GMs that Rein should typically stand in front of the payload and not behind it. If you are behind the payload you are inviting the enemy to contest by your positioning. Also you can fall back to using the payload as cover if you need to. Is this not the case?

You said we should be behind the payload often but It's better to be in front of it, making space with someone on the payload instead. That way, the enemy can't contest the payload by being in front of it while we are behind. Plus it heals anyone around the payload so you can fire strike every now and then and even if the team gets damaged due to it, well, AoE healing from the payload.

Basically, out of position and feeding the enemy team needlessly the entire first round. The advice I'd give as a general rule for Rein is play defensive when the enemy make a push and aggressive when your own team is with you to push back. Rein is all about making space and outplaying the enemy Rein.

A little advice from a keen Ana player who has seen countless Reinhardt's charge to their death, more or less heroic (not to mention Dva's). Never (almost never anyway) charge the full length. Find a wall that will stop you at like halfway or before. The full length opens up too much space - and though space is nice - the full length creates a big 'pressure' on your team to follow up on.... and literally follow you. At the very least... IF you wanna charge head on: Turn around before you go... to make visual contact with your Ana? Remember... Ana DOES NOT have rocket boosters! :P The longer your charge (in meters), the more "busy" your healers will likely be. (Zen and Moira sort of excepted maybe?).

As a rein main I can say he did alright. Just two things: voice chat and agressivness. As rein, there is times you need to play passive, but there is also many times you need to play aggressive. After watching this, I can simply say he wasn't playing aggressive enough. Nothing else to it. By not playing aggressive, you are rarely creating space, which is a main tanks job. Also use voice chat, it helps so you can tell your team when you are switching between the two styles: aggressive and passive.

9:00 it's almost like his zen knew shit was going to toss ults out and supported him, but they weren't talking...so to me, it seems like all the bad plays that should have costed them the fight, only worked because his team is good at taking advantage of those key moments. like the reaper ult, and then the zen being there to ult on 9minutes and help the team confirm the kill. they seem to have some knowledge of when to take advantage of his bad charges and plays. basically, he's lucky his team is quick to follow up on a moment that presents itself.

Just today at 5am watched a video where Jayne Overwatch Coaching said that Reinhardt should use firestrike off the cooldown to gain ult charge if you think you can land the firestrike. And that is why you should learn to hit firestrike from far distances :) Yes, you might waste the firestrike when you threw it to the corner where enemies should be but if you hit that is 7% ult charge per enemy hit :D 30 if you can get 3 . . . Also one tip he gave for me to learn is firestrike changeling? I'm not sure what he meant, but I ques it is in theory throwing a firestrike right after your melee hits . . . I got conflicted feelings about tips Stylosa and Jayne are giving :D

How does Reinhardt’s fire strike work? Does it hit and explode on the first enemy it contacts then create a little AOE splash damage?

XgamerdaveX it phases through everyone it hits, capable of hitting all 6 enemies for 100 damage it has a huge hitbox for enemies but a very small hitbox for environmental objects meaning you can literally throw a firestrike through a like 5 pixel (exaggerated number probably) wide gap and it will go through. Also you can cancel reins hammer swing with firestrike for quick burst damage that even zens ult cant heal so you can kill traver through trance if ever needed But to answer your second question, no it doesnt have any splash damage, just damages like live syms orbs going through enemies and shields

I am going to tell you a secret, I have done it in the last seconds of overtime when we really should have lost. I have been shocked recently how good Lucio is at those last second things. Nobody expects a Lucio to just go god mode on them and push them all back. One game in comp we had won both points on our attack, they needed both to tie us and force us in to sudden death. I got 4 ults in one over time because i kept jumping between pillars building up speed every time. Only going down to ult, and heal/ speed swap spamming till I had my ult back up while killing as many as possible, keep in mind omg the speed i was reaching was unreasonable. 2 of those ults in one life in over time doing my jumping, we pull out the win on the last ult which i pulled right as my team came back on point and we won the game. Never give up on Lucio.

The weirdest thing to me is that he just randomly decides to drop the barrier when he's on the front line and just swing his hammer at nothing, losing about half his HP in the process, and he does it over and over. I don't understand what that's supposed to be accomplishing.
