He’s in the bronze/silver. Being on console has nothing to do with this particular players poor aim. If you go to bronze/silver on PC, you’ll quickly find people who don’t even know where their keyboard is or how their mouse works

Like its okay to rank shame till your a newbie wich is under (150 hour at least), after you gained experience, you just don't do that... The problem here is that when he is going on his mad flanks, he is getting kills... because it's silver. This reinforces the idea to him that what he is doing is good. But when he goes against better opponents, they will melt a slow flanking Junk.

Quick text formatting of his main points of advice for whoever sent in this footage - Understand the true role of Junkrat, which is to spam large amounts of damage into shields and choke points. Spend more time shooting. Understand that firing grenades zones the area and prevents the team from moving forward through that area. Watching any decent Junkrat footage will help you for a visual demonstration of the playstyle. While you can flank it's not what you always need to be doing. You'll get way more riptires this way. - Understand positioning a little better, you are extremely mobile while you have concussion mines. High ground is great for Junkrat as long as you have the angle to shoot at the enemy. - Don't fire into bubbled Zaryas at point blank range. Learn to disengage from characters powerful at close range. Moving unpredictably also applies here for general survivability. - Your mechanics when it comes to usage of abilities and aim is fine for this skill level. It's just game sense and kinda FPS basics that you need to touch up on. - You spend too much time walking around the map on flanks. Even in uncoordinated messes of games there is still some semblance of pushing together as a team. Stick with your team either on the frontline for barrier spam or from a nearby piece of high ground etc.

I am a high gold/low plat Junkrat main, 200 hours. I have 4 personal rules I go by as Junkrat: 1. Abuse the hell out of the trap. When one is destroyed or in a bad place, put another one down. If you have DPS as Junkrat and Widowmaker, that trap is useful to you both. 2. Your concussion mines are your 6th and 7th shots with proper aim. 3. If you see another Junkrat on the enemy team, that's your challenge. 4. When a fight is going on, keep shooting. Weapon accuracy does not matter for Junkrat. Every shot is useful. The ones that miss will cause the enemy to move into range of another teammate.

For a different coaching thing you could do a live stream scrim with low SR subscribers where you take on the roll of observer and coach for one team, or healer coach. Have a friend coach the other team, or you could have guest coaches. Outside of mechanical skills I feel most peoples problems are: Understanding their roll in a team/situation/map; Recognizing/establishing high value positions, including point control; and being mindful of line of sight. If popular enough and you get regular subs showing up, you could follow some players or even set up some mini tournaments, where you pit your selection of subscribers against other coaches. This game is awesome, and the 2/2/2 change is brilliant, but team work is still horrible in mid and low end games, a healthy injection of knowledge would help more than you may realise. Maybe if a person of authority explains that a healer cant: fend off two flankers; watch the point; heal the shield allergic Reinhardt; and boost the Genji on the opposite side of the map, all at the same time, people may believe it. I have met a lot of people, so i wont hold my breath :P I always enjoy OverAnalyzed, and Unit lost content in general, I'm looking forward to what you came up with next (hopefully my suggestion is food for thought). Anyho, thanks for the entertainment and have a good one :)

Real problem with this Junkrat is that he spams concussion mines every chance he gets for partial splash damage instead of using his primary fire for high and consistent direct damage. That whenever a situation comes when he could use a mine to combo damage or explosion jump with it, he doesn't have any to do it.

one idea could be: coaching a bronze player for 1 month and see how much they improve by the end. you could show clips of their gameplay before and after, maybe include comms before and after, and maybe have the person talk about what 1 thing helped them the most.

I'm not even done the video and maybe Sty recommends this but.... AIM higher with Junkrat. It's a projectile. If they are 30m away and you aim at their head. It will hit the floor. Aim higher... and change that crosshair to a long cross

Overanalyzed spinoff - If you play in a crazy game or a game is a good game or something, do a SELF overanalyzed. Go over your thought process, why it was right or wrong, what you should have done, what you did right, etc.

As a Junkrat main, this game play was actually painful to watch. But then again I do use flanks religiously too, but at least I never stop moving, and when ever I see a red outline, I instinctively pursue it until it dies, or it kills me. In my opinion there are 2 true ways to play Junkrat, spam damage, or flank and get the attention off the choke.
