I really like these travel guides. When I am playing the game, I usually forget about the alternative routes that could let me flank the enemies and instead get rekt by turrets and bastions in the main entrance lol. Nice video as always :)

I really, really like this series. Map knowledge is super important and I love that you've made these to keep things fresh 'till release. They'll always remain relevant as well, unlike champion guides that may end up being irrelevant after a few patches.

I'm having such withdrawal symptoms I've been taking on all the work I can. Today I worked 12h just because I don't know what else to do. Ontop of that I even went to the gym for the first time in years today. Grim Dawn, League of Legends, Rust, WoW, Dirty Bomb... After the open beta, all these games just do not cut it anymore. Standards have been raised and I need me some Zenyatta games, like now. NOW Blizzard! Ya hear me! Release the Kraken!!!! Look at this shit, I even stopped making any sense. I'm gonna cry myself to sleep now. Great video as usual.

Complete overwatch noob here. Played about 20 hrs. Never actually play pvp fps. Watched this video. Queued up. Got 2 and 3rd game Hanamura. Picked Widowmaker and used the sniping spots you suggested. Holy shit. It was the best widow maker I played till now... Gonna watch all your map tours now.

2:17 There's like a ventilation up on the wall behind you where Genji, Hanzo and Widowmaker can climb up to. You can see it in the top right 3:00 It's really usefull becuase the attackers won't know from where you're shooting them. (Maybe more heroes can get up there) And you can stand kind of in or on the cherry blossom tree here 4:29. I don't want to seem like I think I know everything about this game because I really don't, I just want to help. ) I love your vidoes btw. Keep it up! :)

i really love hanamura :D there are certain tactics that work insanely well on here: 1) rush with pharah and genji; i did this with a friend where we played as genji and pharah and we simply rushedto the points and once A is taken you can get so fast to B that the defenders can't do much 2) if rushing doesn't work out getting B can be relatively easy by placing Reinhard and D.Va into the front getting all the attention while fast heroes like genji, tracer and such wait till the enemy fire is focused on the front tanks and then flanking the hell out of the defense :D btw great guides ;)

@3:15 Yes, Soldier 76 can get there with a helix jump. @3:46 You can climb the wall behind you (with Hanzo, Junkrat etc) and get on the bridge between the two points. @8:50 Lucio can definitely get there and a Hanzo can also get there, although it's very tricky to manage.

I saw a pretty sweet Torbjorn Turret spot right behind that small rock in the courtyard infront of the first objective. You cant see it from the front and its quite unexpected with some good coverage on the front and directly on the point.

Can confirm Lucio can make that flank jump to B. His wallrun lasts indefinitely, as long as there is enough wall.

Lucio can wallrun to the flanking gap on B, just a lil bit tricky since you have to run on a flat surface and anything caught in the way will throw him off the wallrun but he can go over the white walls easily.

the room of 13:36 is really useful in defense and offence because i was a Symmetra and there was a Mei and she placed her icewall under me so i could get there and place a teleporter in that room.

Excuse me youtube man yes. Reinhardt can jump across on hanamura by breaking fences in upper, then charging to the intermediate platform, then charging down. Its very very possible. I do believe any character that has a slight movement abillity, including Soldier can make it across on Hanamura. This becomes even easier with lucio speed boosts.

The jump at 8:45, I didn't realize Tracer could jump gaps like that. Is it a matter of blinking vertically (perhaps multiple times in succession), or is there another trick to it? Awesome guide, BTW. You kind of learn the maps through trial and error, but it's really helpful to have it more clearly laid out this way, particularly on setting up/breaking through various choke points. There were definitely a few I had not considered and never noticed people using.

BTW the tree is cherry blossom or Sakura for the japanese setting. I agree Mei is great on defence for this map but also offence. She can use the wall to block all the guns covering the door and the team can slip right> BTW your videos are all great. I wish i still lived in the UK to play you guys. From my experience in the open beta (which, granted, is kinda limited and poor), the first point seems to be really easy to take once you break the initial defensive line and rush through the gates. The courtyard in front of the point is really open, and there are very few places to post up and actually defend. The second point seems far more manageable for defense, especially a good Bastion.

In the video at @2:25 on defense that's a pretty good place for a Torbjorn to place a turret. I got 15 kill streak multiple times there as him from his turret. I discovered a place I'd never even seen before in this video @11:22 :O

I only learned about the roof of the side building late into the open beta using genji. Since most heroes can't chase you up there quickly you can use it as a respite to figure out which health pack is the safest for. And on the second point when you said only a few heroes can make it over there. I was thinking. I think there are a hand ful or two that can.

Hanamura is the map that needs an "upgrade" the most. Specially the second point, it needs to be more open, because the way it is right now it's near goddamn impossible to kill a defending Reinheardt on point B

Hey, question: at 13:35, you mentioned the area that only a few select characters can really, really get into. Would that area be really useful if, say, you used a Symmetra portal inside that room to completely flank the enemy with a Bastion turret, spraying them down from above, or else use a Mei wall and let some characters use it to flank their attack in a cheeky way. Yes, it takes them off of the main assault, but it does give you the chance to take out a Hanzo, Widowmaker or a Junkrat a place they are completely ignoring, due to it's inaccessability. Junkrat could be a pretty useful harrasser from right there, ducking back into that room every so often to hide, and Symmetra's portal could make it so that you can take the enemy completely by surprise in their rear-line.

All of the heros can simply jump from the higher balcony to the attack spawn. Only a handful can actually make the other direction though.

Actually, the ones who can make it attack to defense are Junkrat, Winston, Gengi, D.Va, Hanzo, Sombra, Zarya, Mei, Widowmaker, Tracer, Reaper, Mercy (with assistance), Zenyatta (Ulti from top window) Pharah, Lucio and Junkrat.

In theory any hero could get over the jump if they have a mei using an ice wall properly. Mei on attack could be crucial on this map because she can transport heros across
