I’ve played Persia a lot in gecko and so I think because he has so many combat ability modifiers, from government reforms to it’s national ideas it is one of the strongest nations in the mod, especially if you get the monuments, I managed to stack tech cost to -70% with it!

Less nations the faster the game runs. East Asia kind of plays it’s own game anyways that’s separate from Europe, Middle East and Africa so removing it barely has any impact on the game unless you are in like Persia and even then it’s not that big of an impact. The way it works is that it’s just all wasteland. Less provinces, less AI, less nations = much much faster game. When you play MP getting 60-90 year sessions was unheard of before (previously 30-40 years was the average amount in one session) and now it’s kind of common to see with the mods that delete East Asia
