this song is such a perfect example of what a brilliant storyteller adam is. even without the fantasy-like elements and metaphors of his earlier works, this still manages to capture that same level of wonder and beauty that made him so well known i swear this guy could write a song about taking the bus to work and it'd still be this breathtaking

This is probably my favorite song on the album. It's not super often that pop songs are written in a 3/4 time signature.

Could you please explain what you meant to me?
@andfriends Жыл бұрын
@@nakdickson A time signature is how many beats in a measure (section). Most song are written on 4/4, so the beat goes 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. In a song like this one though, the beat goes 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 (like a waltz). Hope this helped 😊

Adam is very talented at conveying what he wants to tell through his diverse and heartfelt lyrics. Coco Moon is very clear about what Adam wants to tell. I think this album is like another collection of books told by a mysterious man, who doesn't care about popularity but only to reach its rightful audience. I'm glad I know Owl City.

Adam’s music saved me when I moved to America as an immigrant. The depressing days and nights . Nights of tears which came with doubts from a new environment and a new journey.I’d listen to ocean eyes and cry so hard and go to bed and wake up feeling better .This music in this album is very dreamy. I cry and disappear in thoughts when I listen to it. I’m so happy, sad , scared at the same time . I imagine heaven, eternal life every single emotion happens to me . Adam, thank you. You have helped me so much and you’d never know. God bless you. See you in DC❤️

I'm going through the songs one at a time, and so far it feels like this album is a collection of pieces of Adam's experiences, a first job that gave him the stability to pursue what he wanted in Adam, Check Please. Here, he shares the wonder of realising that he wanted to be a part of the showbiz world. Despite seeing that, while the people on the stage are amazing, they're humans with struggles too. Instead of wanting to only see the "girl on the flying trapeze", the actor on the stage, he wanted to find her the person behind the act. Realising that that real person behind the act isn't for the audience to find is saddening, but it also made him realise his own dream to be that person, doing his best for the audience, to be the one who fills others with wonder and life. That's just how it reads to me xD That or he just really liked The Greatest Showman xp
