I ran across this quote & thought what a great way to ease the burden of envy. It also aligns with the admiration idea. "Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well" - Voltaire.

"Envy is wanting something that someone else has. And you may actually want that person to have it too but you also want it. Jealousy is the fear of loosing what you have to someone else. Malicious envy is not only do you want what someone else has but you don't want them to have it." Brene Brown

I love this series. Need to get the book. I searched for a couple years for a home. I used a popular home search site but refused to save homes that were listed as contingent. In my mind that’s wanting something that’s not available. It’s coveting - and would have been toxic amidst the already stressful exercise of trying to find a home. God switched the perfect home for me from contingent to available at the exact moment that I asked Him to take over.

I love what a Human Design person said that Giving from the 3rd Chakra is from the Ego and from the 4th is from the Heart so it is discernable. So nice to get a visual and visceral internal reference. peace

Beautiful, beautiful conversation! Would love some feedback on forgiveness and ‘letting go’ when parents haven’t taken accountability, haven’t changed, sometimes deny traumatic experience, and are still exhibiting the same hurtful behavior years later. Though the violence has disappeared as we’ve gotten older and found our voices, my brothers and I still find it incredibly difficult to have a relationship with our parents. I love that Oprah mentioned the story about her friend and the husband saying he “didn’t want to talk about it”. It’s easy to forgive but it makes it feel impossible to move forward.

What if you are the only one who devotes random acts of kindness? After awhile, it would be great to surround yourself with others who give, too. I completely love, love and giving. I believe giving is an addiction, because it feels so good. I have bought groceries for the person behind me in line. And I don’t have large sums of money, like Oprah.

I think they may have missed the point from the one caller with six kids. My guess is she is envious of people who handle stress well and manage people well BECAUSE she feels she’s drowning in a sea of chaos and six kids. They seemed to not get that. That was her cry for help. 😢

Question on envy - my partner’s ex tried to break us up because of envy. Never apologized. Where was there supposed to be admiration? For my partner or for me? I don’t get it. Because it seems selfish and conniving to try to win my partner back and stemmed from jealousy.

Thank you for this specific video about family dynamics...we unconsciously know, but we remain stubborn to the fact that as family unit we really do love each other and we will always love each other, despite what we do to each other too. Thank you for the message about the ones who need the quiet, the 1:1's when things are resolved in time and with time. Time is healer of all things...time is the grace of humanity and forgiveness is the essence of our humanity. The gravity of the universe is as deep and complex as forgiveness.

He said being kind to others can help you achieve contentment. In this context do hear and help people who are suffering in the world. How about helping kids in Gaza and support ceasefire efforts? However, if you justify their state then don’t bother for everyone one day will die. Death will come for Gaza children it’s in their 2, 10. 15 years age for others it can be in their 90s, but at least gazans didn’t turn deaf to cries of help.

He says when you’re doing well and you’re confident or if you’re securing your relationships, you don’t have to ask Problem is you have to ask observe learn from your loved ones from trusted, bosses, coworkers, customers, internal and external you have to learn how to help them how to meet or at least understand their expectations . so before you can be confident before you can be secure in your relationship before you can be doing everything “”right and the people you work with to be very good and thorough about communicating expectations. Please do not fall for the myth that you don’t have to speak or listen or watch that other people will just know .
