Let me also add a few things that had happened prior to this event A man called Mohammed in the city of Mecca in 610 AD declared that there is one God and he is the messenger of God. He was mocked and jeered at He went through physical abuse In the city of Taif, street urchins were let loose on him who hit him with stones till the time his feet bled and his shoes were filled with blood He was called a mad man, a magician His friends and companions who believed in him were socially boycotted The believing slaves were killed in the most cruel ways They were tortured till the time they said that they did not believe in Mohammed or they died For three years the tribe of Mohammed was excommunicated and they were banned from any kind of commerce. They lived in extreme poverty. Mothers were forced to boil leather and drop its water into the mouths of their starving children. For ten years, there was no action taken by Mohammed, not even a word. He just called people to one true God and endured all the pains they inflicted upon him and his companions. There was a plot to assassinate him which obviously failed Believers were driven out of their homes and forced to exile to the city of Madina. All this because - he called people to one God ! That was his crime. Then, after all this came the battle of Badr. There were 300 men, 5 battle swords, 3 horses and insufficient armor on the Muslim’s side. There was a trained and heavily armed regiment of 1000 on the other side. Naturally, the Muslims were worried (if not scared). At this time, God revealed the beautiful verses to the believers, giving them hope and letting them know that God is on their and the disbelievers who committed those crimes (see bullets above) will be punished now. Remember, God is merciful and forgiving but He is also quick to bring justice and punish those who deserve. in conclusion: this verse has no relevance today on the non muslims that exist and if it did trust me you wouldnt be alive right now.

She opened with a list of things which make her fear religion, yet eventually acknowledges that there are in fact hundreds of millions of peaceful muslims. She is not wrong about how religion has the potential to encourage violence, and fear, but I think there’s a huge aspect of fear mongering which flows through her argument - when in reality you could argue the same case for every religion, and even every non-religious entity.

You could say “there are millions of peaceful people in Britain” but still make a claim that we’re non-peaceful as a nation just by pointing out statistics of crime, or government failures. It’s not an accurate representation of the whole. To say Islam is not peaceful, and to say there are hundreds of millions of peaceful people within it (who are in no way encouraged by non-peace) diminishes the whole point of her argument.

I equally think that claiming this applies to MOST peaceful Muslims is inaccurate. How can anyone "know" their religion in one way? If there was one known set of specific rules to be in one religion, there would be no religious differences. There would be no denominations, and we wouldn't be having this discussion about it. You can look at almost every community in Britain, look at the local Islamic community, and find peaceful Muslims who practise just as you say. Why is this majority population acknowledged less than the small groups of people who make Islam seem so horrific? There are, with no doubt, people in this world who call themselves Muslims and do terrible things - just as there are for any other religion/large community. I just think (at least in Britain and more Western countries) this is something widely misunderstood. Also I'll clarify, from a perspective of personal morality, I would definitely be arguing on a different side of this if the debate was about social justice and ethical issues. This is one quote out of many. You could only check the life of Muhammad himself and see, how he led wars, he instructed his followers to raid caravans and take captives, he owned slaves, he had numerous wives and concubines, he married a 6 year old, and many more. His life is well described in the Hadiths in case someone has any doubt. Would you follow such a person?

Muhammad SAW. heard this news and sent a letter that tell him to just let it go and continue to give them supplies and run businesses. this story is more then enough to prove that your words are nothing then deception and only aims to vilify Muhammad SAW. . and if you say that he have slaves, need to remind you that ALMOST EVERY people have slaves in the 500-600. and most of them treat their slaves like a dog, but Muhammad is not one of them. he even says: "Don't you ever say "hey slave"". you too focus on him until you didn't notice what was happening all around him. even when islam was not that big people who support him will be tortured and isolated. use your eyes man
