Anne-Marie Waters, council member of the National Secular Society, begins the case for the opposition by denying that she and her fellow opposition speakers cause fear of Islam and blames instead "the actions of Islam itself".
She lists "9/11, 7/7, Mali, Somalia, gender discrimination, forced marriages, polygamy, amputation", and many more. To the opposition's claim that these acts belong to an "extreme fringe" which has misunderstood the words of the Qur'an, she described the executions for blasphemy and apostasy in Saudi Arabia, and asks "has there ever been a more spectacular misunderstanding?"
Waters concludes by arguing that it is the moderate Muslims who must "dance around meanings" and "stretch interpretations" when confronted with the fundamentally violent ideology of the Qur'an.

Fight then against the friends of Satan" Quran 48:29 "Muhammad is God's Apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another" (8:65) O Prophet! Rouse the believers to fighting. If they be twenty of you who persevere they shall vanquish two hundred; and if there be of you a hundred, they shall vanquish a thousand of those who disbelieve, for they are a people who lack understanding. Quran 47:4, “So, when you meet (in fight with) those who disbelieve, strike at their necks till you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (and take them as captives). After the war lays down its burden, then either show generosity (free them without ransom), or ransom (to benefit Islam). But (Allah adapted this way) in order to test some of you with others. Those who are killed in the way of Allah, Allah will never let their deeds be lost.” Quran 8:55 Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not [ever] believe Quran 4:89 They wish that you should disbelieve, as they have disbelieved, and thus you become all alike. So, do not take friends from among them unless they migrate in the way of Allah. Then, if they turn away, seize them, and kill them wherever you find them, and do not take from among them a friend or helper. Quran 9:123 "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness." Quran 8:12 [Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."

Returning to this video, the amount of people who I stomped on in a logically constrained discussion is just so fasinating to me, considering how much I have learned regarding Islamic theology. Even then, I'm yet to scratch the surface of what Muslim schoolars had built, modern and old. Although internet debates (if you can even call it that) did help me with forming basic skills, sometimes the best approuch is just going to climb the ladder of knowledge step by step. I mean looking back at my online conversations, most can be won with less effort than what I had actually put into them. Let me also add a few things that had happened prior to this event A man called Mohammed in the city of Mecca in 610 AD declared that there is one God and he is the messenger of God. He was mocked and jeered at He went through physical abuse In the city of Taif, street urchins were let loose on him who hit him with stones till the time his feet bled and his shoes were filled with blood He was called a mad man, a magician His friends and companions who believed in him were socially boycotted The believing slaves were killed in the most cruel ways They were tortured till the time they said that they did not believe in Mohammed or they died For three years the tribe of Mohammed was excommunicated and they were banned from any kind of commerce. They lived in extreme poverty. Mothers were forced to boil leather and drop its water into the mouths of their starving children. For ten years, there was no action taken by Mohammed, not even a word. He just called people to one true God and endured all the pains they inflicted upon him and his companions. There was a plot to assassinate him which obviously failed Believers were driven out of their homes and forced to exile to the city of Madina. All this because - he called people to one God ! That was his crime. Then, after all this came the battle of Badr. There were 300 men, 5 battle swords, 3 horses and insufficient armor on the Muslim’s side. There was a trained and heavily armed regiment of 1000 on the other side. Naturally, the Muslims were worried (if not scared). At this time, God revealed the beautiful verses to the believers, giving them hope and letting them know that God is on their and the disbelievers who committed those crimes (see bullets above) will be punished now. Remember, God is merciful and forgiving but He is also quick to bring justice and punish those who deserve. in conclusion: this verse has no relevance today on the non muslims that exist and if it did trust me you wouldnt be alive right now.

That covers things today, not 1300 years ago and a country is not a religion, I do believe the origins of Islam were hijacked in the early civil wars and the Hadith interpretations of Qureshi Arabic does not do wonders for Islam, Its a dialect with no diacritical marks so how did they come to these conclusions .
