I'm writing this after Tom and Noah won the Silver Medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. I'm a 67 year old straight American man who for some reason has been fascinated with Tom's career and life. This particular interview was the best I've ever seen. His insight into life is far beyond his years. Watching him dive this year, with Lance and their two boys, Robbie and Phoenix cheering him on was a demonstration of pure love. I'm sure his Dad Rob is smiling down from Heaven.

I think everyone needs a Tom Daley in their life. So positive, so kind and supportive, so genuine and transparent in all he does… honestly I think we all need a best friend like him. He’s achieved so much in his career so far, but never has he forgotten who he is or where he came from. Tom is as grounded and as humble as they come, and I really love that about him. A rare and precious gem for sure! x❤x

What's really cool about Tom speaking at Oxford Union is that his husband, Lance has spoken there also. I wonder how many couples can say that.

I don't know where I have been, I knew Tom had come out but never really paid much attention or followed him. Then I saw him win the gold medal at the Olympics and when I saw him accept the medal and saw the tears in his eyes I was like wow. Then I started watching his videos and saw what a true inspiration he really is. He has given me a new perspective on life with his positive outlook on everything. Thank you for your motivation when I am at my lowest point in life. You have truly made a difference in my life. Thank you sir.

Thank you, Tom, for having the courage in this public forum to be real, to be honest and mostly, to be YOU!! ..... No airs or pretensions in a setting that might seem to make that sort of thing seem almost obligatory ---- Just the message, "To thine own self be true." .... We are are ALL originals - no two fingerprints EVER match - ..... Your personal CONTINUING story of self discovery, self worth and self fulfillment could not be a more convincing example of these ideas .... Looking forward to your next talk!!
