Thank you for this video. It saved me $340. I bought my spark plugs online and went to the local auto parts store and purchased the spark plug socket. Total cost of materials for my 2016 Volkswagen Teague one was $40. The local mechanic wanted to charge me $380. It only took 15 minutes from beginning to end and that time included watching your video a few times in the beginning to make sure everything I was doing it correctly.

Love when they’re right there on top and you’re not digging in the back of the engine bay for hours

Just curios, any issues with this car. I have the same Tiguan. Right now car cranks but won’t start. EPC, engine light on. I Replaced throttle, fuel injector, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor. Checking fuel pump next. Car only has 78K , frustrating to say the least. Thank you Sir.

Hi! Quick question... i have an lr3, and it needs new air suspension... but how am i to be sure its the 4 shocks needed and not just the compressor??
@oxmanagain Жыл бұрын
If the Rover goes up and you can hear the compressor working, then I would say your compressor is fine.

I have a 2017 Tiguan, wonder if you wipe the oil from the ignition coils, and the oil that you noticed inside spark 3 or 4, did you give it a wipe down before installing new spark plugs?
@oxmanagain Жыл бұрын
I did my best to get all the oil that I saw everywhere. I also cleaned the valves and the combination of the two really made a big difference.

@@oxmanagain I am not car savvy- how did you clean the valves? just wiping internally w a cloth?
@oxmanagain8 ай бұрын
@@salmendarez94 I'm not necessarily a fan of putting a cloth in the engine. Because some of the particles might come off. You can get a Shop-Vac and suck the oil out.

@@oxmanagain thank you so much! My next question is that I recently purchased a 2016 TSI take one and I put regular gas in it… Did I make a massive mistake?
@oxmanagain8 ай бұрын
@@salmendarez94 as long as that model is not a diesel you didn't mess up.

Did switching the coils clear the codes or did you have to replace them?

Thank you, very informative. How often is changing plugs recommented?
@oxmanagain Жыл бұрын
You're welcome and thanks for watching. Cars these days can go 50,000 to 100,000 miles before you need to change the spark plugs. Its typically in your owners manual at what interval but five years is a good rule of thumb.
