I don't know if you know it, but there is a video on YT of Jake explaining exactly how to play Bark at the Moon. Most people get the chords wrong as it's quite hard to figure out exactly what he's playing. I agree, it is an amazing song, his playing is so musical. I think the video and lyrics led people to dismiss it as trashy metal, but it's a masterpiece IMHO.

My brother-in-law showed me the video :) its a pet peeve of his, that people play it in so many different ways and almost always wrong.. I agree, its one of my favourite rock songs!

@@jakobandres7684 it’s one of the reasons I like Jake so much. His chord structures are always just a tiny bit different than what you would expect, causing it to have just a lightly different flavor, almost like a private joke just to see how many people get it wrong.😎

I have no idea why anyone would down vote this. Excellent left hand work, and the vibrato was very tasty! I saw the Bark tour (and the diary tour as well) and it was a highlight in a LOT of epic tours I lucked out on seeing in the 80’s.

I’ve watched dozens of attempts at this…and even though there is a tutorial from Jake himself showing where everyone gets it wrong…there still isn’t a cover of the solo that’s correct.

@@GNXXRAY Yeah that's a cool video. But he doesn't show anything about the solo there. He shows a couple of riffs and the outro melody, so I'm not sure what it has to do with the solo 😅
