Dio is number 1 in my book! I saw Ronnie James 4 times live. ABSOLUTELY A MUSICAL GENIUS! DID YOU KNOW THAT Ronnie James invented the 🤘? That's right folk's. Cause when OZZY got fired from Black Sabbath,Ozzy always did the ✌️ so when Ronnie James took over singing for Black Sabbath he didn't want to disrespect Ozzy and do✌️. So he came up with 🤘! And that is true facts. Ronnie James Dio invented the "horn's up" So any Dio fans who haven't seen DREAMERS NEVER DIE, DIO'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY IT'S A MUST SEE. So much I never knew about Dio in his very early years. Haha spoiled alert. Dio formed rock band's before the Beatles came out. Dio was short haired,in a suit singing song's about Love, and sunsets, and red Rose's. Then he almost died in a automotive accident and that's when he WOKE UP as he put it. The rest is PRICELESS

First time I heard this I’m like ok, pretty stock metal riff for Randy, then the song starts getting all borderline Beatlesy and I’m like ohhhhh…. to me DOM is an order of magnitude beyond BoO in terms of songcraft and composition and BoO was already brilliant in so many respects. But Randy was absolutely maniacal about practice, dedication, and improving his abilities, God only knows where this genius could of ended up had he not died so young. Metal’s Beethoven.
@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle2 жыл бұрын
Rhoads never wrote a stock metal riff, if you listen to isolated guitar tracks, the guy was doing so many different things that you cannot hear it with the other musicians playing or singing over it. I thought Steal Away the Night was a nice catchy riff, then I heard the isolated track and it almost sounded like a different rhythm. Blizzard of ozz is a great album, but it is not Diary of a Madman, that is basically genius prog metal. Think about it you have a guitar player who was not even into metal, but he was able to figure out how it should sound to make it metal to match with ozzy's persona.
