No sabía que Revell-Monogram había sacado el P-47 N en escala 1/48. Traen muy buen detalle en paneles y un muy buen acabado general de las piezas. This is the "N" late version, decent, but could be MUCH better. I built the MM version {same}. Trumpeter 1/32nd kit is "N" early. But, has the pit of a "Razorback", but saying that plenty of detail. On this kit the pits a joke, at least pedals are correct, way too small. Landing gear struts go in a bit too early. What were they thinking?. Hopefully Tamiya will build an "N" and complete the family.Tamiya produces the best P-47 kits on the market. I really like the Vajello metal series. Gun bay covers, Cowling panels, Flaps, always turn. Blue tape, Frog tape = problems. Pacific WWII "N"'s {late} had the three antenna setup also along with the Post War NG P-47. Nice job on the tail & wing bands! You did a very good job with what you have to work with. They both came out great! Congrats!

Tamiya paint doesn't pull up with blue tape in my experience, but I almost ALWAYS use enamel paint... every acrylic I've ever used has been a BIG disappointment... I use automotive (duplicolor) black, white and gray primer, it is great... if you get a run, let it dry, it almost always self levels. To me, using acrylics is tantamount to finger paint...

Well, I started building Revell/Monogram aircraft kits back in the early 1970s and now, I been collecting a few of the “classic” aircraft kits since 2020, but lately, I am not seeing them anywhere in my area or even on some of the main internet hobby shops. Hopefully, they will make a comeback soon!!

I am building this kit, and the way the instructions have you install the left and right inner gear doors looks like it's backwards. In the step you install it, the pointed end is facing the front, then later steps have that same end facing the rear, and if you line the part up to the hole for the landing gear, it doesn't fit in the 'closed' position the way they have you install it. Is this how every kit is? Or is mine a misprint or something?

I'm building the Revell kit now and I'm not impressed at all. There was a ton of flash and the seams need way more attention than I'm used to. Yours turned out really nice though so I'm hopeful mine will as well.

Wow...looks amazing. Really liked the gun residue...do you find that works better than something like a pencil or a Tamiya kit?
