I agree, his performance is faultless; easily on a par with the young Kissin and he was 16 when he recorded this work. It could rank as being one of the greatest performances of all time - up there with the greats - Horowitz and Rachmaninoff.

This recording from 6 years ago is priceless because it shows Sasha (age 14 at the time) as the true young prodigy he was in those years. The only sad part is how very few English speaking comments showed up in those early years.

I had never even heard of him until a few days ago (within the past week) and have been watching him perform Rach 2, Rach 3, Grieg, Chopin, Saint-Saens, Gershwin, etc., for hours during the past few evenings. I can't believe what I am seeing, it is so incredible that someone so young could have such an amazing technique, high-level and broad repertoire, and possess such a profound depth of pure musical inspiration.
