P&O Arvia Caribbean Cruise ...Part 2 Tortola

So after our first sea day we arrived in the British Virgin Islands on the Island of Tortola . Our excursion that we had booked with P&O had been cancelled ,
so we decided to try one of the many local tours that were available after exiting the port
We chose a two hour scenic tour for $25 each that also included a visit to a local Distillery .
On our return we spent a bit of time around the port area , this area has numerous bars and is a great place to sit and enjoy the music and a cocktail or two
After lunch on the ship we enjoyed some time in the numerous pools onboard. That evening we had a nice meal in the main Dining room before heading to the Club house to listen and dance to the resident band Pulse.

Hi Glenda , you say the nicest things 😂 we are very grateful and thankful for the views and we love to read the comments. Good and bad . Yes her rear end is on film a lot something draws me to it 😀 . BVI was great , pity Pearl didn’t realise that it stood for British Virgin Islands 😂 We didn’t get any rum at that place but did in another episode. Loved it, thank you. I have been to Tortolla (when in the RN) visited the Navy Rum distillery (that was messy). Never got offered Panty Dropper though.

We are just back from our first trip on Iona cruising the Canaries and found it so usefull watching your Vlogs beforehand so we knew what to expect and where to go when ashore. We loved it so much we booked 3 more whilst still onboard. We are heading to the Caribbean for the 35 nighter in January so we are watching this series to get some shore excursion ideas. As for shore excursions on this series, next week is another Rum tour which was ok but if I had known what the port was like we may have stayed put . Oh for those innocent days of crap videos , now there crap and we earn the tiniest weeniest amount from them .😂😂 . Might as well be in Yarmouth where are the locals. When we go on Holiday we always go where the locals go, you’re sure to get the best food and drink prices and have some realCaribbean music dancing and atmosphere , these trips are all Europeans or Yanks,no for US we see enough of them at home. Lovely island by the way Tortola but I guess on a cruise it’s the same thing every stop purist go toThe designated tourist spots.I-love your vlogs though watched most of them.

Hi Rene , hope everything is well with you and your family. It was a whistle stop tour only two hours but it suited us just fine . Pearl did buy a couple of new dresses and I thought she looked very nice as well. Food onboard has been pretty good so far , can’t complain. We have had great weather and it was a shock when we landed back in the UK to cold and frost . Love our little chats hopefully speak next week . Take care Rene XX

Excellent, loved watching this vlog, we’ve been to Tortola 3 times and never toured around the island itself (always gone to The Baths at Virgin Gorda). Next time we will do what you did and go to the kiosk and book an island tour, the beach you went to looked very nice too. We also liked the bar and shopping bit next to the ship, when we were there it was decorated for Christmas with a big tree and lights.

Yeah me and dad went on the Britannia at the end of Covid and did the abc islands etc … have to admit we enjoyed Britannia much more plus the sail away party is on top deck and not on a done so the whole ship joins in …. Plus the cabins are about a foot wider …. Yeah you got us a few times on the video including dad waiting for the loo 😂😂. Anyway hope you enjoyed it overall as you can’t beat the Caribbean for weather and the people … have a fab one 😁👍🏼x

If I remember our organised trip was cancelled because of lack of interest. As you get off the ship there is a kiosk with all the trips and prices. I think ours was like a half day tour of the island. You didn’t get a lot of time at each stop but it gave you a taste . ❤️🥂👋👋
