i think it’s something to consider: using towels for the rinseless wash. use it folded in fours, flip after a few passes. you have 8 different sections there, and there is absolutely zero chance for dirt being reintroduced (which is the idea of the two bucket method). and when it gets dirty, squeeze it out and set the towel aside. four or five towels gets the job done.

Good thought, technically the emulsified dirt won't scratch the paint with a wash mitt. I thought it was interesting the Absolute released the material from the wash mitt better. Ive tried using towels for rinsless washing and was not a fan. Thanks for watching Nick! Talking about detailing is fun!

I've been using the towel method for all my rinseless washes. But i have to admit that it is annoying having fold it so many times throughout the washes and having to go through like 5 or more per wash. Then having to remember which side you use and then later having to wash them every week. I really want to switch the sponge method, but at the same time i also have a bit of a phobia that not all the dirt will wash off the sponge when i dip it back into the bucket and squeeze it out; and i also have to trust that the ONR or whatever solution is good enough to emulsify the solution so that all the dirt stays at the bottom. I've been looking for a wash method that is the best of both worlds but haven't been able to find it.

Good video, very good comparison. I just came into the Rinse less arena a few months ago and bought Absolute as my first product. I really really like it. I pair it with the Rag Company Ultra black sponge and the gauntlet towels for drying. I also spray down with Beadmaker as a drying aid. I just got a bottle of the Opticoat No rinse (Yellow ONR) and like it as well, it adds protection as part of the process. I do agree, the Absolute does release into the bucket better and the water is dirtier when I dump it out. DIY detail rinse less I just tried as well, it works amazing too. So many awesome options on the market now a days.

Correct me if im wrong.I measured the cap on absolute. It measured 7ml or about 0.25oz so it would take 4caps per 2 gallons so 8 caps for 4 gallons. Vs onr 2 caps per 2 gallons. I even used the ONR cap and it took 2 caps of absolute to fill up half a cap of onr. So I feel like my math was right. I say all this to say, I hope absolute is not trying to stretch their bottle amount by having u guesstimate with filling ending up under diluting. Also this stuff comes out milk white. No blue as you see in all the demo videos. I feel like there is the slightest deception going on .

I bought the P&S as i went to buy another bottle of ONR in the UK and the price has jumped up from £19 to over £45 on Amazon. All the other detailing websites in the UK are out of stock on ONR. I'm not a big rinseless practioner but if my car isn't too dirty I'll give it a go. Interesting observation about the cleanliness of the mitts btw. I hope you do more testing. I recently tried Absolute and sort of noticed the bucket water wasn't all that filthy afterwards or as dirty as I was expecting. I was using the black sponge. Presoaked the car. The process felt slick and smooth and I even clayed it after, prior to drying, while going along with a spray bottle at the recommended clay dilution. I didn't find it terribly unsafe to fear using it like ONR. I'd recommend it as another option.

I then used it at 64:1 QD strength for a quick dust detail from sitting in the garage. It was a little smeary … it did not flash away that easily. Thats when i tested on the mirror, to see what was left behind. Imo 64:1 is too high a dilution given the formulation/slickness of the product.

Absolute is very slick on application and slick post dry. After a few minutes, Absolute cures more slick. Cleaning my car is very easy: Absolutely easy! It's possible that more of the dirt is suspended on the absolute bucket and thats why it looks more muddy/dirty. I've been a dedicated ONR user for over 5 years. None of the other rinseless washes have been able to come close to making me switch (and I've tried pretty much all of them). P&S killed it with this product. It is completely different and performs as good or better than ONR in many aspects. As good as ONR still is, it is based on 20+ year old technology. The main components of Absolute didn't exist 2 years ago. The only similarities between the two are the dilution ratios and the usage types/methods. It checks every box that ONR did, but does them better. The only "negative" aspect I can think of is the 32 ounce cap size and the extra effort needed to fully mix with water. I solved the measurement issue with an extra empty Rags to Riches dosing bottle. And as for the thickness making it harder to mix, that is easily remedied with a few seconds of extra effort or by using warm water.
