I watch many of Dans friends “in the industry” and I think everyone of them would themselves agree Dan is second to none in the extra effort he puts into every video to deliver the point. This man could save a few hours being a little lazy and still have a great video. Hope even casual observers can appreciate the extra mile I see Dan goes through. Absolutely a master technician.... I would though add the adjective elite. Dan is an Elite master technician. 😂🤷‍♂️ Dan - thank you for being a content creator. ❤️

DiagnoseDan don’t be afraid to monetize however you can. You can make a s-k- style “save a million by adding this to your gas” but I’d watch a video of you boiling water like man I am about to learn something I did not know. 😂 It’s an exaggeration but only slightly. You should be at 10M subs but on your journey don’t fear finding the balance between effort/end result.

I just want to say your videos are absolutely fantastic Dan. I learn so much with your expert knowledge, thorough explanations and your attention to detail. I have reasonable mechanical & electrical knowledge but modern vehicles are a beast of their own. But after watching all your videos I have picked up so many tips in each one and now I am confident to whip out my scan tool and understand the numbers in a modern vehicle. I just wish you released them more often but with the level of detail you go into, I understand how time consuming to film that would be. Anyway thank you Dan, we all really appreciate the work you do!

Hi Danny, Great video again! Hope you, your family and friends are doing fine in these strange times! Really good design of Opel: when the pump is leaking it doesn’t mingle with the engine oil and all the bad results of that fact. As we experienced with the high pressure fuel pumps of VW. Dan, I have been binge watching your channel since I had surgery on the 6/22 on my right shoulder rotator cuff and love your channel. I was a auto tech here in the states from 1986 to 2000 and then went into fire truck repair business 2000 to present. A lot of your diagnostic techniques can also be applied to this repair industry also since a lot of these trucks are multiplexed. Although I am a shop foreman now with 8 techs in the shop I still get to diagnose complex problems with the techs on occasion. Again love your channel and look forward to more videos. Keep up the great work.

Your videos are crazy valuable. In these times, where "mechanics" just change parts on a hunch, it's really beautiful to watch someone do real work. Your explanations are so thorough, that your videos will be used in schools (maybe already are). Of course you deserve more views, but i'm guessing you're doing it, in part, for the "public education" aspect. I'm usually not commenting on videos on YT, just wanted to say THANK YOU!

As usual, you rock Dan! I like the way you always verify the fix. I’m no pro, but I love a challenge. Because of you I now know how to use a n oscilloscope, pretty much anyway. I just work on friends and neighbors cars. Often after they had it “fixed” by the “ pro’s”. They for some reason think because they had a shop do it, that they know what their doing. I signed up for Electude as well. I’m finding in my area anyway, San Antonio Texas, that most shops here anyway are just parts changers. They don’t verify the problem. I’ve even spoken with a couple that changed the wrong parts, again and again. All the while the customer just has to keep paying for the original problem. I have encountered many that think you just read the code and change that part. Even worked on a Chevy Trailblazer with 23 faults, and the only part needed was the vent canister. Everything else was visual inspection and reading all the info to narrow the issues. Fixed quite a few so far and have never guessed what’s wrong. Never told anyone they needed a part that I didn’t confirm. All the sudden after about 17 vehicles I’m getting calls from strangers because of word of mouth. I admit I’m not as quick as you, sometimes I even use KZbin to help find the part if I don’t have the documentation. Try to give people a little break if they are in a spot. That may mean working without a wiring diagram on simpler issues. Been using All Data for wiring. Not perfect I’m finding but gets me close. I’m retired but not dead and I’m finding I would rather repair a difficult issue than a simple one. Can’t thank You enough my friend! I was in charge of maintenance for a large printing company with 50 million in modern equipment. With all that experience I’ve found a car electronic system is as complicated an any industrial computerized super machine. Only getting better. Because of people like you. You just don’t give up and guess. Plus you take the time to explain the system you are working on. Huge plus there Dan. Thanks again!

Well done Dan !! Working on a car that is somewhat reputable for the owner is a sense of pride. I fixed one a month ago and can tell you the owner was very disappointed with the car. According to what he said, the car has been in the shop way to often. Stated that will be his last car type. I liked doing the job because of the easy access to the pump. Have not seen the car since the repair. Hopefully no news is good news. Peace and out. VF

Another great video Dan, I was very glad when you said you weren't going to rebuild the pump too. I tried that on one of my own cars and it was a waste of time.
