Which do you like more P1 or FXX K? Keep these videos coming... Thanks!
@AlexanderWest8 жыл бұрын
Love them both, they are both fantastic but rather different. will never publicly discuss which one is "better" as i think that is a moot point, except to say that a 488GT3 or 650sGT3 are both faster around a track than these two...

When you say they handle differently, can you describe the feel?

@@albertweedsteinthethuggeni7797 Please don't laugh at me, if you know a little bit about it you'll know I'm not talking complete bullshit, but... I drive on Assetto Corsa and I've been driving Spa with an FXX-K for a while. I actually even reached the third fastest lap in the world - oh actually someone did better in the meanwhile and I'm now 4th - as you can check on the timetables at RSR Live Timing. The record for the 488 GT3 is 2:14, while the FXX-K is able to reach 2:12. So yeah, on fast enough tracks the huge power differential can make up the lack of downforce. In Monza the situation gets even worse, with more than 6 seconds of difference (1.39:7 against 1.46:3).

Alex, do you think that the P1GTR should have been engineered to produce more downforce, or do you think that this would take away from the adjustability of the car? The P1GTR has huge amounts of power, but to my eyes it looks to be slightly frustrating in not being able to carry more speed into the apex of the corners.
@AlexanderWest8 жыл бұрын
like most road car based track toys (599XX, FXX K and the P1 GTR, 650 Sprint, 458 Challenge to name a few) they are low downforce cars (compared to a GT3). it makes them easier to drive and more forgiving as they loose traction in a more predictable way. It has taken me some time to get used to GT3 cars, it is a very different driving style and technique. Long way of saying that yes I wish it had more downforce, but i think the majority of drivers of any of these are coming from road cars, so this is still a big step up, and also a familiar one

Is there a kind of DRS System?
@AlexanderWest8 жыл бұрын
yes the button i press with my left thumb, reduces the wing, the right one is for the IPAS (extra power). I normally have full power on all the time, but with the extreme heat at Bahrain we were trying to save the batteries from overheating by only using them on the straights. this is why this would be the only video you would see me use the right thumb as well ;)
@ilketama59827 жыл бұрын

@AlexanderWest8 жыл бұрын
Slicks makes it easier on some level than the road car. any car with more than 5-600bhp needs to be treated with respect coming out of corners otherwise it is not that hard

The car looks to be perfectly stable under braking while using the kerbs, with no pulling evident and no line correction required. Coming off the kerbs and turning into the corner, the car still looks fine with minimal rear-end instability. F1 cars are able to use the Bahrain kerbs under braking just fine and they run a far higher roll stiffness and are way more pitch sensitive than the P1GTR.

little bit depending on the BOP, the GTR is around 2 secs slower than a GT3 car. and the WEC GTE cars are prett similar to to GT3 these days
