This was my favorite video of this tour so far!! Absolutely loved the nerdy plant vibe you two have going on--so passionate and informative. The plants are beyond gorgeous but I couldn't take my eyes off the BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES in the background. Wow!!

Love this video, I'm with Darylen. I don't have problems propagating El Choco's , they are a beautiful plant and one of my favs.

Thank you for this video! I have been struggling re-rooting my el choco!

I’m so glad you found it helpful! I’m planning on posting another one that’s more in depth once the propagations I took produce new leaves. It may be awhile but I want to show the whole process.

My small dining room has approximately 100 plants and the humidity in there around 60%. A little more after I water. I don’t have a humidifier in my house and I live outside of Tucson.. it’s pretty dry here.

I keep the upper portion of the chonk on and so lower buds will usually push roots or growth. tbh, I wouldn't want to risk infection with cutting.

Wow! What an insane collection! I noticed she just started her Instagram only a few months ago. How long has she been collecting and cultivating? Curious about her background.

Hi Bronwyn! Nice to meet you! I have been collecting and cultivating aroids for about the past two years, and the plant that has currently been in my care the longest is a cactus named Kevin who I’ve had about three years. Prior to that, I had a fairly large collection of orchids that I had to liquidate when I moved to a place without enough light, but I still continued to keep a few on my desk at work. I think I’m total, I’ve been keeping plants in some form or another for about 10 years. I’ve recently amped up the acquisition pace because I am planning to start offering a few plants for sale here and there. Hope they answers your question!

it's crazy when she said the majestic is 10x more expensive than the pastazanum silver, while currently the price of majestic is going down hard here in indonesia and the pastazanum silver is is 10x more expensive than the majestic
@PlantFriendDownTheStreet3 жыл бұрын
That was probably a bit of an exaggeration, but this video was filmed almost two months ago. Prices on the pasta silver in the US are still pretty low compared to the majestic. I saw a big pasta silver mother plant for sale in a group today for $85. It’s crazy how much prices differ depending on where you live!
@zakifariz3 жыл бұрын
@@PlantFriendDownTheStreet 85$ for pasta silver is a steal, currently its around 500$ here while majestic is around 50$ and i don't really know what happened to the majestic price because i've bought a 2 leaves cutting of majestic and i paid around 300$ 3 months ago 😭 i still love my majestic btw 😆
@PlantFriendDownTheStreet3 жыл бұрын
@@zakifariz that’s wild. I imported this one from Ecuador for $40. Majestics in the US are mid triple digits for a small one from a domestic seller and I guess the exporters know because all the price lists I’ve seen from Indonesia have majestic almost as expensive as in the states. It’ll be super interesting to see how the market changes.

Jimmy, I really love your channel, and I'm grateful for the information. Fyi in your notes above, they are not called "Totem Poles." That is actually disrespectful to the First Nations - Native Americans who consider Totem Poles sacred, and I get that is the brand name unfortunately.

what is the light she is using that's good for dark leaves?
