Thalassery chicken dum biryani recipe in malayalam
Thalaserry biriyani is a delicious biriyani recipe originated from Thalaserrry, Kerala. The biriyani is famous for its unique aroma and taste. Unlike other biriyanis, this biriyani is prepared with Jeerakasala rice. This mouthwatering dish will be adored by everyone.
Chicken marination
Chicken - 1 kg
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Curd - 2 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Masala preparation
Onion - 2 nos
Cardamom
Clove
Cinnamon
Ginger
Garlic
Green chillies
Tomatoes - 2 nos
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
Biriyani masala - 1 tsp or Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Mint leaves
Coriander leaves
Curd - 2 tbsp
Salt
Cashew nuts - 10 nos
Grated coconuts - 1/4 cup
Curry leaves
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Rice preparation
Jeerakasala rice - 6 cups
Sunflower oil
Ghee
Onion
Carrot
Water - 9 cups
Salt
Garam masala powder
Vinegar - 1 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Sunflower oil
Onion - 2 nos(for fried onion)
Cashew nuts, raisins(for garnishing)
