Rocky out-and-back trail near Camas, Washington and Portland, Oregon. Generally considered a challenging route, it is around 7 miles and 2000 feet elevation gain. It features stunning views of Mount Hood, Mount Adams, Mt St Helens and Mount Rainier on a sunny day. Bring trekking poles as it is steep and challenging in sections but very rewarding. This video shows the epic views but skips most of the slog to the top. Also bring sunscreen as you will want to stay a while at the exposed top. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. My channel hopes to inspire everyone to hike, especially those over 50 years old.
