All jokes aside, the fact that a community of individuals have dedicated themselves to literally finding the exact spot of a landmark, from within a 128x128 resolution png file, words cannot even begin to describe how impressive that is... god speed gentlemen.

The flag was livestreamed against a blue sky, and people actually tracked down its exact location using the fight paths of planes that flew above during the day, and the constellations at night. They even listened to sounds of nearby wildlife. It took them a day.

There is a ridiculous amount of possible seeds and a lot of searching to do on every single one, my bet is most of the searchers will have long passed of old age before you're able to claim that "told you so". You guys like playing *Minecraft* though, so looking at maps will be a good life for ya.

@@Resanctify have you watched the video? He literally explained how they are using different methods to VASTLY lower the ammount of seeds they need to search. They also narrowed the search area to a small patch

@@JacobRy I watched, you guys are still up for a potentially *extremely* lengthy task, narrowing down the search by 50% of all possible seeds would still be extremely long. If they can reduce it down to like 0.5% of all possible seeds then you have some good odds there, and that's assuming all of MineCon and the like are all searching and don't give up on it after a week to build a farm on their server or something. Edited: Forgot the decimal in the percentage, and saying you have good odds at 0.5% ends up being extremely generous anyways.
