My last trip was Paris, similar weight, i think it was 6.7kg, travelling in winter. But I used a rucksack - I just use my normal day bag. I found far easier for using underground, stairs, etc... My trip was a bit shorter, 7 days. Then when I was in Paris, i used this as my day bag most of the time. I didn't try to stick under 7kg, that's just what it came out as. I'd room in my bag / weight allowance left.

Yes I agree I’m also considering a backpack…then again carrying 7kg on my back is a bit of a struggle and the trolley suitcase is so easy to log around. Pros and cons to everything I guess. Thank you for your comment and for watching 💚💚💚

Great hints! You’ve given me lots to think about! I’m planning a trip to Australia and New Zealand next year: 40 days including a 13 day cruise, and two train trips in Australia. Perhaps I can pair down to just a carryon if I do laundry…It would be easier as a solo senior traveler to just deal with carryon.

Makes me feel can inc my meds and jewellery as have completely scaled down toiletry and makeup wise plus use almost weightless bsckpack .Still looking for compact curler straightener..combo... so you could take personal item plus carry on?

Hey, yes I haven’t found a decent hair tool yet either that’s light…plus depending on where you go you’d need adapters too. I just let my hair dry naturally when I travel, not perfect but hey at least it saves time 😅
